even though i knew it was coming, it being official and seeing jake talk and get emotional about it makes me feel even sadder.

will never forget how much he put his body on the line for the club and what hes achieved.

      A true roosters legend.

I can’t remember a player who has split more blood for the Roosters.

An absolute champion. So sad to see him go out like this but happy he has made the right decision.

I wish him all the best for his future and hope he stays connected to the club.

          Thank you Nuggs

11,265 career tackles for Friendy is just incredible.

Geez it's going to take him some time to come to grips with this. He was pretty emotional and it's understandable.

But the worst scenario has been avoided and he has plenty to live for.

Thank you Jake. A champion Rooster.

Wow that was an incredibly moving announcement, what a wonderful example of a man who had the world at his feet, made some poor choices had it all taken away and the persistence/maturity/growth he showed to get back in the squad never gave up never moped and moaned then turned into a great leader and role model for the next generation, Nugget we will miss you, thank you for your service you Champion.

Congratulations on a great career Jake and well done on your farewell speech. We don't have many left from that 13 premiership winning team.
The roosters have had many great dummy halves over the years but Jake would be the top of the list , incredibly tough man who I dare say would have made more tackles for us than anyone to have worn the tricolours.

                              A Friend in need.

                              Played strong, done fine.

Big Jack would have loved him.
