  • JWH Must Start

We are too weak and vulnerable without Jarred on the field. If Lindsay is out next week Jarred must start, otherwise we will be rag dolls.

Isaac and Butch played well last night. SST ran like he had a carrot up his arse and then suddenly a rocket up his arse in the last 15. I love SST but why wasn’t this effort there from the start?

We look a different side with Jarred on the field. We need the mongrel. Was great having him as an impact player but it’s now clear he needs to start.

Interesting to see what pack and bench looks like against the bigger teams (and with Mullet & DSF back). Baker has been good in his couple of outings as well.

We get Lindsay back soon and he will give us the early platform we need. I think it's good having him come off the bench, he adds a lot of intensity and spark to the team

You’re on the money again 13. Besides the Souffs game (incidentally he wasn’t Robinson Crusoe that game) he has been our best prop.

I’d be benching SST when Collins comes back and playing JWH / Collins up front.

Yep. I’d rather be front runners and be hunted than having to wait for a turnaround. Liu, Butcher and Tupou made tough runs all night.

Also, I loved seeing stoic Tupou get excited when he scored. He’s the best
          ..it’ll be interesting to see

I don't think JWH hits the line with as much intensity starting than when he comes off the bench and rips in.

            Just my opinion.

I think having him come off the bench has been a revelation for our bench impact and also for him too.

His reaching and exceeding his stats from last year and doing it playing 20mins less. I think we're more dangerous with him as a weapon waiting to be used.

Bloody Einstein at it again...lol....he has always been the rock and balance of this team..do not mind the preservation of JWH going into his pension years but there and will be games he will need to start etc.

He was the reason we came back last night, I’m happy having him come off the bench, his intensity seemed to last the whole time he was on, not sure if we get that if he starts.

                  Agreed.
when you have a spine that has
5/8 who has played about 17 games in 5 or 6 years
                  HB in his 2nd game
Hooker in his 5th or 6th game replaced by someone in their 2nd game
you need to have a dominant forward pack to be any hope of winning games. We look so much more powerful when JWH is on the park. He has to start. Plus it might stop him building up his aggro and giving away a penalty within a minute of going on.
another point is why does Robbo leave a forward on the bench and not use him when we are getting beaten up the guts. I am sure Baker didn’t get minutes against Souths or Cronulla. What’s the go with that?

Baker played 0 min against the Vermin, Sharks , and 17 min against the Warriors (on at 52 min).

Maybe he did'nt want the kid scarred by being part of the Vermin game, and just thought last night was too close to risk.a crucial.mistake.

I agree I think JWH should be the first forward picked, he is our forward leader it is very clear especially without Friend and Cordner.

                      I would like to see;

                      JWH/SST starting
                      Collins/Liu off the bench

If Collins is unavailable then Fifita brought back into the branch. JWH & Collins are your play 1 props, the guys who take the ugly hit ups and get you some momentum. Isaac Liu & SST who are your smaller forwards and have a little more leg speed and footwork become so much more effective being your play 2 props running off the back of a Collins or JWH carry.

Baker's a big unit. When's he gonna get a run?

I reckon Fifita's got a lot to prove after his suspension. That was really poor form from somebody wearing an Easts jersey.

Our depth is impressive. I find it funny how opposition coaches immediately point towards their injury toll when we win.

I think Baker has edged ahead of Fafita. That stupid incident v Souths has cost Fafita.

TKO was very average last night in both attack and defense, hope it was just a one off.
