It made decent coin pre-covid and will again though with over 40 thousand members so it must doing something right to attract members and their guests.

The Waverley Bowling development got the go ahead though.

I think originally there was to be another Roosters club on that site - but I heard a bunch of Souffs Vermin supporters petitioned Waverley council to reject the application on the basis that they don't have a club so why should the Chooks be allowed to have 2 in Sydney.

They should have went head with the Harrington Park development - Club and sporting fields etc - instead they sold the land to Bunnings?

Rubbish standards for a foundation club! We are a rich club ? Why is our League's club so Small ? Our memberships are growing why can't we have a League's club like the panthers!

Cost of land in Eastern Suburbs verses cost of land in Penrith.

In defense of the Leagues club, I remember when the club was located above the Millers Hotel on Oxford St, that was a long time ago and it was minuscule. As I'm one of the old fart geriatrics you so eloquently rubbish, I am proud of our great club. It obviously won't match Penrith Panthers or Souths juniors for that matter, but it's my club and my footy team and I love the lot. As did my Dad and Grandad.

LOL I had my 40th in the Bondi Room back in 2007 and it was really lovely actually the way they decorated it, food was excellent and so was the DJ who stuck to my requested playlist. Funny part was a lot of my friends travelled from Penrith to come and I still remember one of the guys saying on our way out "Nice little leagues club you have here. You can fit your entire fan base in the foyer!"
Me: "At least we have teeth and jobs over here in the east!"

Yes I am still friends with him and his wife who follows Cronulla..

                          Good on ya Cosmo.

Tradition and history ain't always pretty and shiny, but deserve respect and recognition.

There are a few in Bondi Junction/ Paddington/Woollahra/Double Bay areas or you can come out to Rose Bay as Thirteen suggested. We did lose the great fish and chip shop next door to it though last year

Wouldn't they be Self funded retirees? - It's not Redfern where the club is.

I suppose some are pensioners since super wasn't compulsory till 1988- Superannuation Guarantee -Employer Contribution - 3% when is started - Now 9.5% and 0.5% rises the next 5 financial years - 12% 2025/6.
