Our owner is a billionaire and our leagues club doesn't reflect that meanwhile we have third-party feeder clubs an still 5 junior club's! Nathing is adding up here!!!

We dont even own our own stadium, still bloody renting for another 25years

I just dont understand why 113 year club has less than new club's

I would gladly go spend my money if our League's club was a place to be proud of hints living around the corner

      It's depressing

Other than Roosters being a successful club on the field, everything else is shared or sold an us members have to put up with remaining issues year in year out!!!!

I can remember back when Easts Leagues used to be a destination, had a first class Chinese restaurant and used to get quite a few big acts and shows but that was many many years ago, there was a big neon Rooster light in the window of the Chinese restaurant which caught fire and burnt the restaurant out. Even in the early to mid 90's it was good to go to after the game and have a feed at the down stairs bistro and see some of the players back after the game but the club has been an empty shell for ages, dark and uninviting , just hope the on going renovations bring it back to some place we can all enjoy again. As for showing the games this Friday, why on earth do they need a DJ to play music during half time, that would put me off going straight away, not that i was planning to go as i am working.

Look at all clubs though - only the Sharks own their own Ground.- Hard to own a ground back in them days and may not have been able too - land would be required for factories/residential properties/businesses etc in these city and inner city areas.

Souffs Vermin don't even have a club- The Chooks club until Ronnie Jones took over was on the verge of bankruptcy - The Chooks area was a very working class/poor area for a long long time- It's wasn't the affluent area it is now.

Chooks only in the 1950''s had some sort of club - In 1967 they moved to the current location -see below -they own more than one club and have a number of other assets and developments in train - they ain't poor in other words. on track to have upto 500 mill in assets - income producing and revenue generating one's

What do you have to put up with year in year out though?

We don’t have an owner. Maybe you are confusing us with Souffs or Manly?

The 'geriatrics' are just older young people.
The poker machines help finance our club/team.

The game is on the big screen, drinks are cold, food is hot, it's a safe environment (anyone causing trouble gets booted out at express pace).

                  Oh dear.
                  Owner is the club.
The billionaire is the Chairman of the board, He does not own the club.
What he has done is show the Easts Group how to make wise investments etc and amass a $500m treasure chest.
See any other footy clubs so well off financially?
Better to rent the stadium than own it.....can use our capital to make money elsewhere.
3rd party feeder clubs are good for us financially.

Imagine if the Chooks did buy land to have their own ground they would be spending so much on it for upkeep and every 20 years or so to refurbish /renovate/rebuild it - end up bankrupt- how much is the new SFS costing 800 million plus i understand

I’ll be at the entry tomorrow evening from 6pm warning everyone that it’s shit inside and I’ll be signing any blue shirts.

Lots of places would fit into this category.
Doesn’t change the fact that they are shit holes.

Personally I prefer venues with a bit of vibe. But happy there are people like you who enjoy Easts and support our club. Me, I support our club in many other ways.

One day you might be one of these elderly folk possibly playing bingo at some club - tow little ducks rise and shine
