haha, but i'd rather shadow box with latrell than actually fight him.
it wasn't shadow boxing so much as me telling him to give me his best shot and he gave me a shadow forearm to my face and i told him he had nothing.

I never used to understand that after full time in Grand finals in the old days players would swap jumpers and shorts and run around the ground with the JJ Giltinan shield either with the other teams jumper on or round their necks - you would want to keep your teams one I would feel - couldn't do it nowadays with all sponsors name all over them.

I did recall in 2002 that Fittler swapped shorts with a Warriors player before the presentation. - I liked the white jumper and the white shorts look from back then more than the white jumper and navy blue shorts. Traditional socks would be better with the all white perhaps as well.

The white shorts and white jumper came about by accident. Read somewhere that we took the wrong jumpers up to the game v Broncos (the start of our unbeaten run) and after we won that night, the players didn't want to tempt fate going forward. Every chance they got, they stuck to the white on white, right through to the big one

I'm with you on that KS. I went to the 1983 grand final with Mum to see Parra v Manly (30 years later saw Roosters v Manly ) and seeing Peter Sterling run around with a Manly jersey doing a lap of honour with the shield was too much for my 16 year old self.

From memory I think it was Ricky Stuart who pushed for the white shorts for the rest of the season.
