I would like to see this happen, very skilful player and a lot of his play would translate to league quite easily it’d just be a matter of picking up some of the little nuisances and getting used to the defensive workload but as impact off the bench he could become a bit of a weapon.

Guess it all depends how much he’s asking for, if it’s just for the backend of the season I could see it happening.

Rugby halfback has to have similar skills to a league dummy half less the defence which could be an issue. We really are in dire straits in this important position and there's a big reliance on verrils knee being able to stand up to an ACL comeback. Might be worth a punt if he comes cheap and wants to take up the challenge.

Bit of a risk when he really hasn't a background in league though - if a half in Rugby not sure how you could convert him into a dummy half in league- Chooks didn't have great success one has to say with 2 other former Rugby Halves they signed - Brian Smith and Brad Burke

I want to get excited about this potential signing but a little concerned that he has no league background..

In saying that I’m sure Trent knows what he’s doing and the right decision will be made!

One of the best defensive halfbacks in Union, has good service and has a decent kick on him. He’s also filled in at fly half a couple of times due to injury so we could do worse than him if we have a halves crisis.

As long as he doesn’t do those puncey swan dives when he crosses for a try
                ..it’ll be interesting to see

Cordner is a forward and so is TJ ! Like for like but i still think there Cordners $350k is enough for TJ , Cordner will play on! Friend vacated his spot in our 30 man squad just in time for this to happen! Can't wait to see our team with TJ in it

I personally would rather put games into the young blokes or recruit an NRL experienced half. At 29yo a transition from rugby could be tough. Plus the defensive side is tough for ex ruggers

To me this wrecks of desperation. Some bloke whose never played the game before. It will take more than his skill level to make him a decent enough league player for him to actually make a difference for us this season. Are we really that desperate? An injury prone Widdop would be more appealing. We have Hutch and Walker plus Lam and Adam K. Surely these guys are all better options than an unknown.

it's a yes from me, great depth backup. He'd surprise a lot with how good he'd be after a few weeks on the interchange

I trust the recruitment gurus, if they think this will work than I'm happy for him to come across
