Marschke did his job for the most part, last 20mins was a team effort

dont want to have a go at marshke. he was playing ron massey cup few weeks ago, so bit harsh to be critical on a guy that wouldnt have thought about playing nrl this year.

but because of that exact reason we need a nrl standard hooker

Full credit to Marschke, it was no coincidence our defence went to shit when he went off for his HIA. He was very good defensively, his service and attacking game are a long way off the mark though at this level.

Can’t blame him though he’s been thrown in last minute, wasn’t even part of the first grade pre-season so these are all brand new combinations. I actually don’t think we lose anything between him and Freddy Lussick.

Can’t blame him but he is well out of his depth.

Marschke did pretty well tonight Keighran however is a massive concern he was so bad defensively he was an absolute liability.

Keighran missed 2 tackles out of the 51 we missed and you have concerns on his defence. Take a look at a couple of the other guys who missed quite a few more.

Manu is our biggest liability, he makes those around him a liability because of himself, greatest coaches in the game apparently, and we can’t teach him anything about defending in over 4 years.

To be honest I noticed both his misses more so cos he was fresh yet looked uninterested and lazy... not so much the misses that bother me but the lack of urgency SPECIALLY when coming on fresh.

His defense in the middle was incredibly soft in his limited time on the field.

                            • Not sure why Keighran played having not played for 5 weeks and especially first game back against the Storm -13 minutes only. It looked like Keighran picked up an injury as well had the training with him and i think he came off.

Baker was 18th man and should have been in the 17- Picked in the Bears team although will need an early flight as they play at 2 pm - be 3 weeks without playing if he doesn't play for the Bears. Needs game time as i figure with the Injuries to SST and JWH he will be in the mix for selection vs Dragons.
