    Very interesting. Its just a trial but gives us some insight into what is going on in Smith's head;

    - Mortimer at fullback, doubt he will replace Mini but obviously being considered for the position.
    - Moga in the centres. Can't wait to see him and glad he is not on the wing.
    - Justin Carney on the wing? WTF?? He is too small. He is a centre or nothing IMO.

        My take on Mortimer, is that Smith wants him to be ready for a few positions in the event of injury or having to shift another key role.
        Will be interesting to see how he goes.

            I think Carney is more of an option on the wing.

            He is not a first grade centre..

            Thinking about it, he probably is not a first grade winger either..

            Newtown whatever..

              It's a trial, quite a few players out.

                Mate don't you think he struggles to much under the high ball?

                  He is still the same height if he plays in the centres..

                        So I take it Jake is having a rest? Not injured? Good to see Moga picked in the centres and not the wing. I'm very interested to see how Tagive goes also. Carney on the wing...hmm he better have an absolute blinder or off to Newtown where he belongs. It also seems that Smithy has Kheirallah ahead of the young kids from the 20's Wells and RTS.

                          not a good sign Kennedy is not fit for this trial, would have to be serious doubts about his availability for round 1

                          interesting that Mini/Perrett being rested

                          will be interesting to see who lines up for Newtown/NYC to find out who is currently injured.

                            Mini, Perrett, Friend, Kennedy & Leilua all having rest. Probably just precautionary. This is a far stronger side that our usual trial sides.

                              I know it's a trial but seeing Mortimer named at fullback makes me physically sick.
