Looking forward to having a look at Moga. Mortimer is interesting at fullback, will likely lurk around the play the ball in attack. Carney and Tagive will do the "heavy lifting" hauling the ball back on kick returns. I can't see the Dogs doing much bombing as they will concentrate on their plays and structures. You don't learn much from kicking the ball as high as it can go and then running after it.

Should be a good day out.
Have your mob named their team yet? If they have post it.

Daniel Mortimer is as slow as wet week so watch for Hasler to exploit that lucky where not playing for points.I would've preferred a kid who's played the position to play there but Smiths loves an experiment.

Had to do a quick check, no, they haven't.

We'll have a strong side as well. We have some guys on the mend that won't be there, such as Hodkinson, Eastwood, Lafai. Gavet is out but he would have been in the NSW Cup side anyway. I think Des is leaving it til the last minute, he named last week's team on thursday.

As soon as it's available I will post it up.

I hear Shark's supporters are queueing for GF tickets at Ticketek ... otherwise I wouldn't be too concerned who wins.

As much as alot on here dont like him (J Carney) Smith does, he will be in the side Rd 1 no doubt, unless injured.
Im surprised Bosden is not named but it wouldn't surprise me if he did play on Sunday.

I believe Moga & Mortimer are the only 2 that may break into the top 17 that will be at the expense of BJ & Mitchell.
There will most certainly be more from the earlier game added to our bench, including possibly Bosden.

Not a bad team. Will be interesting to get the feedback on how Mortimer goes at Fullback.

Nice side, Mortimer at FB, not too concerned, would not be suprised to see him slot into the halves in attack, trying diff combos with pearce and Anasta.

We;ll just see how it goes.

Smith will bring him through the same way as he did with Cordner.....NYC > Jet's > 1st grade.

A few of the NSW cup boys will be backing up on the bench for FG.

                      Did Graham play last week?

Fuuck me, it's a trial and we're already blowing up about Mortimer.

That is why it's called a TRIAL people - so Smith can TRY things.

Give him a go before we rip his head off.

Don't mess with tradition. We never wait for the season to start to slip the boot in.
