  • Positives from last night

The rooster wall was back. Even though the game was played at lightning speed I thought our formation held strong.

The late tries were soft and came from dummy half when our team was back peddling, if it wasn't for Harry grant we would've still been in it until the end, he is a excellent player.

Radley I thought was very strong in both defense and attack as was Liu and Collins. Even though our yardage was horrible they never gave up and they continued to take the hard runs. It's the only way our luck could have turned around.

Unfortunately it wasn't our night, I don't think it's panic stations over this loss and next week we will bounce back against St George.

    Stay positive guys!

In his 3rd game and so small to have to deal with giants, Sam Walker showed some great flair in attack. His passes, though looking a bit risky, was pinpoint in all of them.

Yes our defence was great but no possession, completion rates less than 50 per cent, 19 missed tackles and 11 errors in that first half gave us no opportunity whatsoever.

It's when we play the biggest teams and the hardest teams with the big guns when the pressure is on that you have got to deliver and we dont.
When defending all night our attack stops because were getting a breath.

yep, not conceding a try in the first half with so little ball was pretty special.

              isaac and lindsay were terrific.

sam walker's defence in the first half showed he's not going to be a speed hump

I think it is perfect that Walker comes in and plays a whole season with no expectation on him. So next year when hopefully he has put 5kg of muscle on and Keary is back he has 20FG games under his belt.

Issac was our best and so too Toops. Sure our defence was admirable but Melbourne and other opponents just seem to have more robust mongrel and speed than us. It’s hard competing in a error prone game , no possession whilst the physical and mental drain has its limit especially when refs are reffing a one sided team.

Plenty to like about the performance. Already decimated by injuries then we lose Jared and Siua as well.
Better performance than beating a shit side by 30. The Radley sin binning was laughable.

The Storm’s quick play the balls were capitalised upon by Grant. Ours, in stark contrast were that slow it’s no wonder we offered very little, offensively.
