I remember Butcher making an impact. 2019 Grand Final. Criticism of Manu is especially harsh. Butcher should start every week. Give him some regular time and good minutes in first grade, I reckon he'll change the opinion of those bagging him. Hope Fitzy doesn't take him.

I grew up playing along side SWB an Steve Matai for Mount Albert Grammar an seen this kid at the same age an yeah! Suallii is a gun an will be killing it once he gets his shot ! Robbo will know when he's ready but from what I've seen so far he will carve up most of the centres right now!

I really hope your right but in almost 50 years around league I have seen so many with so much talent fail for many reasons .For the Roosters sake I hope he isn't one of them but I'll reserve judgement till he has actually done a year or two in the top grade , Same for young Sam

3 games into his career walker has exceeded expectations. plus, he's a winner - i like how when we were 20 down he was trying to make things happen. no guarantee that he's going to be one of the top players in the game but in my humble opinion the biggest obstacle to that happening is injury.
suaalii also looks like a freak and maybe he's ready for first grade now but maybe he could benefit by playing in reserves for a couple of months and getting his hands on the ball more

Butcher isn't an edge backrower he is a bench player who plugs the middle at best and sitill's defence and 2nd efforts from marker and A defender are poor.
26 is prime but that's the problem... TPJ is still potential. His development years are behind him and he's still erratic and inconsistent with no signs of maturing.

I also agree Butcher is not a 2nd rower, I don't think anyone believes that. Robinson has just been left with no other option but to play him there on occasions which has been part of the problem for Butcher that he still hasn't had a good run in his natural position and role.

Manu is all class. Wasn't long ago that he was the best centre in the competition. Just down on form atm.

                    Our biggest problem is hooker.

Ido but isn't that the great thing about RL, that we can watch the same game , yet it looks like a different one

Joey was rated the best centre in the game even last year I think...c'mon guys wake up.

He plays in patches is the issue, like Latrell. Has ridiculous ability.

Nat Butcher reminds me of the other Nat we had, Nat Wood. Solid for the most part, plays above his weight and a boon to the team culture.

Manu is suffering from trying to form combinations with a new halves pairing and revolving door of hookers. They should change the Rooster's name to A Touch of Class.

Last year, Manu suffered the most from Flanagans inability to create space for his outside men. This year with our halves being decimated, the average ball he receives has followed. He hasn’t played those big games since being given the ‘best in the game’ plaudits he received.

In the Souths game, Butcher was out, and I feel we missed his tidy game to help us absorb pressure.
                            ..it’ll be interesting to see

And this is what’s most frustrating.

How about his strong running from dummy half. He doesn’t need a decent half to do that.
