Only our next good win will help me recover from our last loss. I’m still shattered.

        • My fears for when Keary went down it would be how it would effect how much good ball Joey would get when in the early rounds we were deadly going right and that's naturally suffered.
I expect a lot from him as he is a class player with silky skills.
I just think Olam has had the better of him in their last few clashes and Gagai got on top of him as well.
I might be too critical but if he's to live up to the best centre in the game tag he has to beat those quality left centres.

I'm hoping the Anzac spirit might fire up the boys! It can be a turning point in the season...either way.

Very interesting...I'm hoping our props will be right, but equally don't want wounded guys pushing too hard too early. TIT.

                      • Yeah I think Manu has gone very quiet and passive since Keary getting hurt and replaced. I'm just not sure what will get Manu firing and motivated. There's some games where he barely makes any impact and hardly touches the ball... that's not what we or anyone would expect from arguably the best centre in the comp.

So there was talks of playing Manu at 5/8 and some have said "yeah nah" and others welcomed the idea ... could that work ? and have Ikuvalu in the Centre or slowly blood in Suaalii ?

or how about swap Jmoz and Manu around ? Have Manu shift to left centre and work with Toops and have the Moz brothers tag team on the right side ? ... shake the back line up just a little

Regarding Butcher ... when Cordner returns... he's the one that's gotta be dropped off the bench for me. I'd honestly rather have Suluka-Fifita or Baker on the bench instead of him ! Perhaps it might be time for him to look for a new club

Manu's parents came to Australia yesterday. He hadn't seen them in 15 months. Hopefully he puts in an extra effort this weekend for them.

Great to see Cordner back training too.

                          • I reckon he's got the "Lattrells" and wants to play fullback.

But the bloke we've got there is doin ok.

Although I understand the feeling, I’m closer to “spewing” than “shattered”.

After the Souths game I was truly shattered, and swore that I’d take a loss if we put in the effort, which we did on Friday.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...
