They are going to do it hard without Latrell & the other thing is he is a marked man & if he does something later in the year he will be out again. I thought Souths could win the comp this year but I think to much relies on Latrell for that to happen so I now think its down to Melbourne & Penrith.

I dunno...To have to be a GOAT you'd need to have won more than what Marshall has won. He's only got one GF and maybe one World Cup? Yes he is a wizard on the field but even though he played for the Tigers, he could have been more for them. In league you have Johns and C Smith who no matter what team they have, they can make them Champions. With those types of players, other players around them become great as well. From a NZ perspective as far as GOAT go, I would rate Stacey Jones higher than Marshall.

that is a good point, benji was a wizard but more individual skill. couldnt get his team into a winning position. big knock on him.

Young Sutton gave the bunnies 6 agains on 5 different occasions straight after the halftime break. It takes all the juice out of teams and has given refs enormous influence over results.

Probably fair to say he never influenced results as much as some other greats but I don't think he ever had really great players surrounding him in a lot of those teams.
His influence on the game can be seen with the likes of tuivasa- Shek when he steps or luai when he holds the ball in front and skips before he passes or whenever someone throws a flick pass.
He is showing at Souths with a great backline outside of him that he still has fantastic skills.
We weren't to know the injuries that would decimate our halves but he would have been fantastic for our backline too.

                        Aint that a fact.

Been saying it for ages that no matter what a side does, for the most part, under the new rules that control lays firmly with the refs now.
