mmm I think my theory has more legs than your one -" Robbo would beg SBW to fill that gap" - As John McEnroe would say "you can be serious " - Keep posting these theories as i haven't had such a good laugh in yonks. mmm maybe your next one will be Fttzy begging SBW to take over the goal kicking as well

And yet we are close to signing TJ. Your salary cap theory and attempts to discredit Walker shows that you are a bitter and deluded Flanagan fan. Probably in Flanagan's inner circle. I hope you enjoy his one win for the year before Matt Burton relegates him to NSW Cup next year.

Walker ran more on Sunday than Flanno did all of last season.

Two narrow finals defeats had naught to do with not having two running halves though or one not taking the line on - 28 unanswered points vs Penrith ( up 10 -0 and lose 29-28 ) and 16 unanswered points vs Raiders ( down 16 nil and lose 22-18) - defence cost those games - Raiders game Chooks had a number of opportunities in the second half but couldn't nail them.
Flanno was garbage. I prefer Hutch.

And Cronk was better than Pearce.

I dont think you actually got bagged for suggesting Walker should be ahead of Lam . That was going to be obvious going forward but I think what myself and a lot others were saying was that Given his age Sam would have been better coming on slowly but given the circumstances that didn't happen. But young Sam has proven so far to be far more mature than some of us believed.

"Robbo would beg SBW to fill that gap" - can you explain this though i am sure others would like to hear how this occurred - Robbo got on his knees perhaps???? - mmm tell me how i am discrediting Walker though?.

Your theory that not having 2 running halves being the downfall last year doesn't hold water for the season in general and especially the finals loses.

I wouldn't be signing TJP myself as with Verrills back and Benny M doing a good job plus Lussick to come back the role is covered. Could be more disruptive than anything productive as i figure playing reggies for the Bears is not what he would be signing up for if he is to be signed.

If as they say he would play dummy half it is not only the pace of the game that will be something he will need to get accustomed to quickly but also the defence work load - going from making a handful of tackles in rugby to as many a dummy half is required to make in whatever minutes they play will be a major challenge - No ALL Black 8 to do the bulk of this - Plus he has no real League Background.

Gees your showing your lack of knowledge of the game again Burton is a 5/8 but playing centre currently so he wont be relegating a Half in Flanno to reggies - a half usually wears number 7 and a 5/8 wears number 6- centres usually wear either 3 or 4 - don't worry i will send you a few links on rugby league for beginners /understanding the game of rugby league etc -

oh I forgot. Flanagan is a specialist "organising" halfback. A role that could never be be filled by anyone else including someone predicted to be a future rep half. It seems we were always doomed putting a running 5/8th like Keary into an organising role. One also wonders how we won the premiership in 2002 with a makeshift halfback. It was surely impossible for a running 5/8th like Freddy to do any of the organising.

                    Bulldogs is that way ------>

8 runs for 63m with 4 tackle breaks and 1 line break.

Hutch made more metres but I reckon the key to Walker's stats is that rather that just distributing the ball, he's drawing in players and slipping tackles.

His pass to Butch for a try was a classic example of this...

If you want a really good laugh pull up the threads where that Gonzo relentlessly criticised Robbo for replacing Pearce with Cronk and saying he should fall on his sword.
Then part 2 is when that same Gonzo said exactly the same thing last year about getting rid of Flano and replacing him with Walker.
These were right up there with Police Academy I and II.

Even funnier is how that same Gonzo is still trying to justify the value of Flano was to us and we should have kept him.

No argument from me. I was overjoyed as soon as we signed Cronk.

Walker is already better than Flanagan will ever be. Plus he does not have a coaching father who is a drug cheat. Win/Win.

Glad you get some sort of amusement out of them as you probably live a rather dull life old bean. - mmm dont align me with your statler snd waldorf's though as that would be Benny Hillish comedy - slap stick and what not.

Sam Walker looks like he could be a STAR, but i don't need to put Flanno down to make Sam look better. I think Flanno put in every time he played for us, did some great things, but Sam takes the game to another level, and thank God we got him.
