He won me over after the GF in 2019. He was the only one on the panel after the game who raised the point that the Raiders had all the ball, all the field position and all the calls in the second half but still couldn't score a try....so why was the 6 again going to make any difference!

He has completely turned all that around. Rarely drops the ball and has a huge motor now. Good on him for taking his game to the next level. SOO had a hand in that.

I find it hard to criticise Alana as she is such a looker, yes I'm weak. She was a damn good player herself before injury forced an early retirement. But really Getaway or The Great Outdoors would suit her better.

I feel the same about Paige when it comes to golf commentary.

It’s undeniable now.

Not like he just found a run of good form. He’s doing it in back to back seasons and has done it at Origin level as well.

The real promising thing this year is he isn’t doing everything at 100kms an hour like he was when he first entered grade or even when he was as good as he was last year. I remember commenting last year that I was worried about his longevity in the game given the way he would return the ball from EVERY SINGLE kick off. He seems to be able to pick his moments a lot better now and put his energy into the important carries and tackles throughout moments in the game and is so much more effective at it.

Was just thinking the other day how blessed we are, at a lot of other clubs Lindsay would have had the spot line shone on him. He would be the great hope, a marquee player, must retain at all cost. At the Roosters he’s just another really good player coming through just casually outplaying SST and JWH multiple rounds of the year.
