  • The sounds of Bmoz in such agony followed by the emotional scenes in the dressing room esp with his brother were much more than sport tonight.

Don't feel like talking much about anything else right now.

Just to say proud of this team and proud to support this club.

    • Absolutely devastated - that was heartbreaking

Everyone here should be very proud of your club, they way we are still playing bravely (and great footy) in adversity - and we will continue to turn up. This season has been a goodbye to some of our greats but also a glimpse into your future with very exciting players like Walker - and hopefully Baker, Suaalii too

I’m very grateful to have a extraordinary player like Brett Morris play for our club in my time, and be part of one of our premierships - will always be one of the best wingers and roosters of all time

Chin up roosters fans - rest up and try not to feel too shit. Be grateful for the good times and we continue to push on next week

For the short term, Baker in next week for Lindsay, Manu back to centre for B Moz and Teddy back, so we still have a team that can beat most other teams,
If nothing else, it was nice to be able to see the emotions and scenes in the Changerooms, in the end it’s a game, and Brett has won a grand final he never would have expected too, and will be remembered as one of the greatest, it feels like he has only played at easts.

        • 4 gameday ACLs since the rule changes, hadn't had a gameday ACL in how many seasons before it? I can't remember 1 under Robbo on gameday period, a few during early season training are the only ones I can remember.

          • I remember when they said Corey Oates had a compound fracture last year and it ended up being a leg cut so until medical reports come out, I will hope for the best.

We look a different team with Radley and Verrills back in the line up.
I’ve been a fan of “ Geronimo” Sitili since the u20s. He had a blinder last week and followed it up tonite.

              • Ultimately, a horrifically sad night. Made doubly sad by the fact that, if it is an ACL, that is almost certainly the end of Brett Morris's career. What is so incredible is how it seems to be striking down our Skippers. What a shame Moz couldn't have played his whole career at our club. Really tremendous effort from all of the boys tonight, and how brilliant is Walker?

It'll be fascinating to see how we perform in the coming weeks, and gee it'll be nice to get Cords back on the field some time soon, hopefully at full fitness.

Lord knows what may have happened if Friend, Keary, Collins and Morris had all remained fit this year, and Walker had been blooded.

I thought Ikavalu, Manu, Walker, Crichton and Radley were all terrific tonight. Super proud of all of the boys, and of the club as a whole. Up the Chooks.

That is 1 in 10 million stuff.
Lotto odds unfortunately against us I'd rather follow redwhiteandblue around the race course.

So many people talk about Josh Addo-Carr and To’o being the best wingers in the comp like Brett Morris doesn’t even exist. He has it all, can set up tries, score them and is hands down the best defensive winger in the competition. Last year his age was brought into question by people trying to say we needed to regenerate our squad.

Hell when we signed him lots on here who were talking down the signing, it’s only when seeing him first hand and appreciating all the work he does off the ball that he’s become so loved.

Feel gutted for both the boys but especially bmoz if it's career ending, he could stake a claim to being the best winger in the history of the comp.

                        • Ultimately footy is a subset of life. The elation of watching the rise and rise of Sam Walker, sitting side by side with the tragedy of seeing BMoz most likely play his last game, and the agony of Lindsay Collins now out till next year. A rollercoaster but a ride nonetheless. We’ll go on, and hang on tight for what comes next. Hopefully some good comes out of this, and we see the next generation of stars step up. Hang in, we’ll get there.

                            • Never before has a massive win felt like a devastating loss.....Brett's career ending injury when he should have gone out as seasons top try scorer and Collins gone in the position we are most weakest at in regard to depth.

Last yr it was round 7 that killed our premiership with 2 ACLs within 5 mins, this yr round 8. Can we forfeit round 9 next yr pretty please..

Seasons gone...i have a better chance of winning lotto than us winning the comp. and i've never brought a lottery ticket ever.

                              • An absolutely devastating night for all concerned.

It is a time to be reminded about and being most thankful for supporting such a fine Australian sporting organisation. Onwards and upwards for Easts in 2021.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.
