  • I know this will go against the tide, but credit to the dogs club for the day. Good sized and well behaved crowd at a surbaban venue - beats that 80K stadium they play at. Beers also served in their cans! The walk out of the ground was no problem with congratulatory messages from their fans. There were plenty of security and police around which were not required

Only issue i had was with the annoying ground announcer who kept on yelling "make some noise"

    • Haha yeah and "brief showers that should pass any minute" regarding the rain lol. An hour later...

Agree with you on the work of the Dogs club. It was well organised and everyone there was there to enjoy the day, not cause trouble. I don't know what idiot designed the grandstand seating though. Almost impossible to get past people sitting in your row. And I'm a thin guy, I would hate to think the trouble some people had. Would love to see the Dogs take a few games there each season if the parking and facilities can be sorted out a bit better. Great ground to watch footy at.

          Slightly belated I know ...

However, it was actually quite a fun day, not the least because we got to see 5 grades of footy and considering they were either trials or first round matches they were entertaining.

Agree with your comments above, and as I said it was a great day for a once off occasion but a long way from being NRL standard. Hopefully, we can make it an annual event with your club.

Quite a few of us commented how good the memories were, not the least was the memory of why we left in the first place ... good to be home for a visit though.
