Would need to do a lot and for a long time to be considered for first grade, such is the stigma of being a Newtown contracted player. Jason McGrady was also excellent in his time at fullback.
    Any relation to Ewan?

Nephew - Sticky signed him to Cronulla a few years ago and he had came with huge raps

Both McGrady's were very good yesterday. Jason should have gotten more than his 20 mins at fullback. He looked very lively running the ball back and supported well. Scored a nice try outsprinting the fullback to the corner. Corey also scored a nice try solo effort, knew his moment to take on the line and went through with a step and good acceleration. Kicked well too. Good to see our upcoming halves are better than I'd previously anticipated.

thanks for the report mate... I was at the game and agree with most of your analysis. Do think you were a little harsh on Carney though... bar the cold drop i think he had a fairly solid game... got involved in everything and had some great runs... i know he's still a risk under the high ball but close to our line i'd look for him and moga to swap around to provide a better chance of catching the bomb... during the half time warm up he also slotted a couple of kicks from the sideline which i was impressed by (had no idea he could goal kick)

Thought pearce let the team down a little too... we were going really well in the 1st half off the back of Kheirallah mixed kicking game and when pearce came on in went back to bomb city... i don't mind the placed ones for the centres and wingers but the midfield bombs just released all pressure off the dogs... this will be his 6th year in 1st grade but he hasn't seemed to improve his overall game much from his 2nd season???

              Great report either way mate...

Agree 100% on Pearce. It was disappointing that he stuck to bombing cos after seeing Kheirallah's kicking I thought it might have been a team tactic to improve our kicking for repeat sets. Possibly a little tough on Carney. Was hard to report on his general play as he was on the opposite side of the field to me the entire game. He did support his centre/wing partner well all game. I think he would still be bomb risk at centre but it wouldn't be a bad idea to do what you're saying as he is a better defender than Tau Tau at this stage. His two mistakes were pretty poor though and I think Tagive would offer more on the left wing. He's better in the air. Quicker. Much better defender on the wing than he is at centre. And was getting very good metres out of dummy half yesterday. Even Henry showed alot of promise yesterday I thought. Will all depend on the fitness of SKD and Leilua anyway in the end.

Great report. The club should pay you to do reports for them.

                    thanks yak.

I have this feeling Bosden is going to be a very very good buy.

He just looks like he is made for footy. Just like Cordner.
I want to see Maubs Cordner & Bosden as our backrow & lock.

I was at the game as well MM and have to agree with you apart from a few flashes of brilliance from Moga we didn't have much flair in attack. We will definetely play a forward orientated game IMO cause i was like you am a bit concerned with the bomb and Pearceys cross field kick being our only option in attack.

Yeah, I have same feeling about Bosden, my mate from the merge said we scored well getting him..

Seems, Like Moga, Bosden & Tago are trying to kick the door in.

Also, Keirallah got the trial run at No6 last year...& that was it...hope he has another go against Benji this weekend & threaten Braith
