  • Things we missed

With the unfortunate injuries to BMoz and Collins, our emotions have gotten the better of us and we may have missed some of the good things that happened last Saturday night. It has taken me a couple of days to get over the scene of the twins hugging and can now refocus on our season with a somewhat clear mind.
Manu’s involvement from the beginning can only augur well for the future.
Toupo’s game has become complete.Gone are the days he gets pushed back in tackles or drops the ball when tackled. Much underrated ( not by us) and will go down as a legendary rooster.
Hutchinson’s solid and reliable play, the ideal support for Walker and good kicking game and sound defensively.
Marschke filling in beautifully for Verrills when a break is needed.
Sitili’s best game for a long time. The hardest he had ever run or tackled.
SST’s return, although still looking injured, I thought his second half was getting better with every run.
Angus continued his beast of a form , good signs for the rest of the year.
JWH’s flick pass, I nearly orgasmed seeing it, I am an unashamed fan of the big dog and whilst he is in good form, we can overcome any pack in the comp.
Butcher and Liu played solid and will be needed to continue if we are to feature in the big dance.
Sam Walker has had enough trees cut down to write about him so I won’t add any more. If you haven’t seen what he has produced so far , then go back to the cave you’ve been living in for the past month.
As for my other favourite ( equal to JWH) Radley proved that had he been playing last year we were a better than even money chance to go B2B2B.

    Perfect summation mate.
Jmoz's hat trick also a highlight. Still as big a star as his brother and one of the best defensive centres in the game.
I hope these injuries galvanise the guys even more and they all lift to give it a good crack.

Fair points although I reckon Sitili has upped the ante for a few weeks now. Looking great.

The other thing that stood out (which you reference) was SST who looks to be fighting fit again. After a couple of blues he got angry...with himself...and finished the game off very strong.

Just waiting for the depression to lift. So down after that game when we should have been so high.

Sitili has been a beast the last few weeks, he will be missed against Parra!

These last few games Liu has stepped up big time, especially with how involved he has been

Excellent points all OMR and I also agree with Lydon; Sitili will be missed against parra. Thus my hope is that Nat Butcher (or whoever ends up donning the #12) will take Sitili's place and exceed all of our expectations.

Agreed. I was saying this to a sad Faders fan today while sipping a latte at my local cafe. 'We won 38-4 and people were still crying'.

There were sloppy patches, but scoring with 11 men on the field was ridiculous. Our PD puts us agead of the Drizz... WE ARE FOURTH, WITH THE BEST P+ IN THE GAME!!! Best attack in the game IMO... definitely worth re-watching every one of those tries against OldOuthouse.

Kinda p!ssed me off that they couldn't just call the game off after Collins' injury. We had 12 due to the bloody reduced interchanges rule, we had our cue in the rack (Knights were going nowhere) and neither team had anything to gain.

Since current management are so intent on making our game look like cricket, IMO they should consider some kinda rule that if you pile on a cricket score and everybody's falling like flies with injuries then the game can stop early. It hurts seeing anybody go down injured (from both teams) when the score's such that it's already game over.

You can’t be serious ! Differentials are so important. Cast your mind back 3-4 years ago. Top 4 we’re on equal points and the differentials was needed to place them 1-4c same as 5-8 all on same points and differentials needed to place them correctly.

stupidest idea ever. rugby league is a combat sport . cricket isnt.
