Josh Papalii would be the answer, but don't hold your breath. Baker is a FUTURE star, maybe he will step up. But weneed another prop, Fafita and Lodge would need to really have huge changes in attitude to be a benefit to us, even though I am not keen on either of them, if there is no other option I would take Lodge over Fafita purely based on Fiafita's knees.

That 350k yet to be approved salary cap relief has me baffled - Cords will be back so where's the relief prior to this - Chooks have 29 players in the NRL squad leaving only 1 spot available - if they sign TJP that will be 30 players - can't then use that 350 k to sign anyone externally as that will be 31 players and under the rules as i understand them as that will mean Cords would not be able to play.

Seems daft to me maybe they think clubs will milk it so the approval only is given when the player sits out the minimum 12 weeks

I'm baffled by the whole thing as the Chooks have 29 players and signing 1 more in TJP means that's 30 players and thus they can't use this up to 350k's as if they sign someone that makes it 31 players and Cords can't play. You need this up to 350k when they player is out not when they come back though -

• Clubs to receive a salary cap exemption for the pro-rata value of the injured player’s contract, up to a maximum of $350,000;
• There is no limit on the number of players from each club entitled to salary cap relief if they suffer a long term injury in a representative match;
• If the club has a place left in their Top 30 squad, the injured player must be ruled out for a minimum of 12 matches and cannot make an early return, and;
• If the club does not have a roster spot left, they can sign a 31^st player but the injured player must be ruled out for the season.

The player that is signed as this cap relief replacement is with the club for the whole year not for the period of time the player they are replacing is out.

I cant remember all the details put was Pangai linked to us like last year. Anyways he got snapped with a well known 1% MC at some store opening and I'll never forget Robbo who said.

"he doesn't fit our culture" That said tons man about what we expect. As for Lodge well he's had some dramas but I think Robbo is a coach that could get the best out of himif we want to take that risk.
