  • The Roosters will make the Grand Final in 2021

Penners, we've got our backs against the wall. l can't remember the last time our squad was so decimated with injury.

But there is a silver lining my friends.

No one expects us to win. The pressure is off the team for the first time in eons.

We've got buckets of talent remaining in the squad.

JWH & SST - the best props in the competition. I wouldn't swap them for anyone
CORDS - the great man will be back this year, adding starch and invaluable leadership and respect among the playing group. They'll know this is his last year and will be doing everything to send him (and Friendy) out winners
RADLEY - What more needs to be said? Pound for pound the toughest player in the NRL, and with ball playing skills to boot.
WALKER - Just one of the those natural freaks (like Carney, Thurston, Johns) he is just a natural at playing footy and creating. Watch him ride the confidence all the way to the big dance this year.
TEDDY - The games no.1 fullback and support player in the comp, hands down.
VERRILS - out for a few weeks, but will be back. Absolutely tore it up upon his return from a year out. Top class service and dummy half running.
J'ORRIS - bucketloads of experience and proven talent at the highest levels. A world class outside back even on his poor days. Watch him take a bolder leadership role from hereon.
CRIGHTON - one of the games premier second rowers and leaders. Articulate, uncompromising, creative. A unique set of talents. We are lucky to have the man.
BAKER - I might have knocked this guy before he played a game (mainly he looks like the result of a pregnancy if Cameron Smith - Kyle Flanagan had procreated), but trust me. This guy is every bit as good as Collins. He will kill it this year.

    also.....

FIFITA...not Daniel, ANDREW FIFITA is a chance at joining us this year. I maintain that aside from breifly under Flanagan, he has never had good coaching and discipline. Robbo, Cords and JWH will sort out his attitude and he'll be a monster. Tis a rumour, but there is enough smoke that i'm convinced there is fire.

    also....

The greatest coach in modern history, the one and only TRENT " ESCARGOT " ROBINSON.

Penners, we are in this up to our necks.

The PANTHERS, STORM, RABBITS and EELS are our only GENUINE competition. Everyone else is making up the numbers.

Strap it, get excited, and whip our boys home.

Mark this down as an ' I told ya so' post. We will be in the GF this year, and it will be against one of the 4 aforementioned teams.

Mmmmmmh, don't think he is the answer... sorry. Apart from that I completely agree.

Joey Manu will be massive for the rest of the year. I seems to thrive on having more responsibility

Love the positivity, throw in our legend winger Toops, plus the skilled workhorse Liu, the potential superstar Suaali, Manu if he catches fire, Billy Smith, IKU, Butch, who knows what Perinara will bring, maybe a lot, plus Keighran. It's definitely all hands to the pumps right now, but we can still be a threat. The other teams may suffer injuries as well which will improve our chances. If these difficult times fuel the fire and determination of our players then anything is possible.

More like some old LSD trips because he’s tripping with his prediction.

This exactly, a dose of luck is definitely part of the formula to winning the big one, our luck surely has to take a turn for the better.

Nope, I've got a few Sydney 2000's if you want them though. Planning to highjack a warehouse out in Homebush and hold a rave for Easts fans on GF night if we don't make it. Will make sure Nick Skitz, sKP and DJ Crisis are present.

Can't see us getting Andrew Fifita and don't think he will add value anyway.

But the thought of the biggest butt pain of all time if we win it keeps my flame alive.

We still have yet to beat a top team this year. Lost to storm and Souths so far. Realistically, we have to start beating the top sides to be considered honest contenders. Whenever we’ve been matched against a top side they’ve walked all over us. I think this year we will fall short due to injuries.

Teams are still adapting to the new rules. Manly competitive. Raiders defence will improve. Broncos gave Panthers a run. Sharks have played very well in patches. It would not surprise me at all if a roughy wins the comp as was the case in the 2005 NRL version of touch football.

In regards to Roosters, the new rules have clearly suited the younger attacking players. Walker and Suaalii are all of a sudden big inclusions rather than just development players filling in for injuries. The likes of Verrills and Radley also more suited. I agree that we are not out of this yet.

Interesting way to celebrate. Each to their own I guess.

I like your enthusiasm Steakface . Like you I won't give up on the team until its over. I think we can still do well but I am finding it hard to get enthusiastic about Andrew Fifita. He was a beast at his best but seems to be a King Dickhead with bad knees.
