Due to circumstances i think Penrith & Storm are probably a 20point better team than us at the moment,possibly more. I also would have Manly ahead of us. I do agree however we can beat the rest in what has been a unique & remarkable season

If the cards fall as anticipated, I can see us beating either Sharks/Titans, then Manly, then Souths. Then we are in the big show. It would be a monumental season against adversity to do that. Steakface has stuck solid.

The thing that will beat the Chooks against any of the top 4 sides is the lack of experience in our halves. I will go along with the Chooks winning next weeks semi but Im then actually worried about us coming up against 1 of the top 4 sides. You know Tommy that semi final footy is a grind & when the Chooks won the comps we had the best & most experienced halves in the game & thats whats gonna happen this year. The team with the best & most experienced halves will win the comp. The top 4 teams all have superior halves than the Chooks.

We aren't a one man band (cue Leo Sayer in my head every time I think of teams who are) and we are not carrying the burden of expectation the likes of Penrith are for instance who have an entire generation of desperate fans hopes on them. The pressure is all on them and last year they buckled under that pressure. Melbourne have set the benchmark so they are the only team who really dominate this competition. Trent is still carrying that man of steel persona we all admire and respect, so that's good enough for me. The new season and new competition starts next weekend. As far as I'm concerned, it's game on.

Besides, my Brisbane Lions tip turned out to be garbage so I'm sticking to NRL and horses from now on..

If we still had manu I’d give us a sneaky chance of getting through to a prelim but as it is I’d be surprised if we can get past week two. But you never know, strange things can happen in finals. Cows got through to a gf with a bits and pieces team a few years ago so it’s possible.

In the very unlikely event that we make the GF we would make it a contest if Joey and Nat are fit. Probably both borderline in 4 weeks.
