  • Exceptionally proud of the boys, gave it a big shove against the odds and some awful officiating.

    Ikuvalu was monumental.

Being at the game it was a treat to watch Sam Walker live and how he moves around the park including in defence .

Feel for Hutch big time, another tough watch....just hope he's ok.

We retain our class and dignity, and will be back.

They don't miss it. And it's not incompetence. They are sorting the top four throughout the course if the season. They did the same last year but ironically parra shit the bed then too and fell out.

In all fairness to butch if it's the play I'm thinking of Marshke held on to it too long and put him under pressure.

And how did Cartwright stay on the field after he was stumbling around after colliding with Matterson? Not even a HIA.... Cartwright eventually went on to nearly break Sam W ankle.
Cartwright's eyes were glazed over I reckon Parra will cop a fine for not bringing him off for a hia.

          • Big effort in defence- 3 Standouts
            • Butch 70 tackles - 80 minutes
            • Benny M 69 tackles - 80 minutes
            • JWH 50 tackles - 65 minutes

Parra dominated possession overall 61% to 39%. Roosters completion rate of 22 out 33 sets completed (67%) compared to Parra's 42 our of 47 sets completed (86% ) and 17 errors to Parra 10 is where the Chooks will say they lost the game.

It was rather self inflicted the loss - won't win many if any games with a 67% completion rate and 17 errors some of which led to Parra tries.

The tackles in the opposition 20 being Parra 63 and Roosters 8 showed how the possession flowed - Chooks inability to complete sets was costly as when your completing your sets your controlling possession and field position and the Chooks weren't able to put enough pressure on Parra's defence or get any real momentum and the leg up set restarts.

High completion rates including nailing set end kicks. attacking kicks and low error counts will be paramount going forward as will minimal set restarts and penalties conceded. -Controlling possession means controlling field position - Defence is a WIP with some misreads proving costly - can't rush out of the line one out.

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Yeah my post was just on half time before he was belatedly put n report. How they could miss it is beyond me when Hutch is rolling around and on the ground in agony.

His screams were earily similar to Bmoz's.
Got to feel for the kid after his efforts this year.
I think they might rest Walker against the Cows and have a Lam/Keighran combo in the halves.

True on both counts at the moment.

At least the Vermin won't be there either.

I hope that Hutch is doing okay. I really feel for him.

Walker really needs a breather. He is on a steeper learning curve than any 18 year old debutant should ever have to be subjected to. A one or two week break would be ideal ATM.

If you didn't know any better, you would have to think something else is at play here. I am not into conspiracy theories, but you have to wonder sometimes after a night like this one.
