How is a spoon prediction so divorced from reality?

Any number of teams are in the running, given the closeness of the competition.

    We're certainly one of them.

We're unremarkable in the halves and at fullback, have a very young team and a bunch of players coming back from injury.

Could come 8th, could come last.

      "Lots of pre-cum" - LMAO
      Captain Backwards strikes again.

I'm Big Kev about this year with one proviso, actually, one six and seven provisos. The log jam (pun intended ) of pootential at this club will raise some eyebrows this year.

Great to have you back around these parts stsae maaaaaaaate.

+1. Those ridiculing the wooden spoon prediction are clearly lacking objectivity.

I personally believe we have close the worst backline in the comp, and close to the best forward pack in the comp. Depending on many factors like rule interpretations and injuries, we could finish anywhere on the ladder. Although if I had my money on it now I would say our forwards will give us a decent start and we'll end up finishing just outside the top 8.

well you wouldnt believe it but out of the 9 so called experts.
Bunnies-tipped by 1 to win it.
cowboys-tipped by 1 to win it.
warriors-tipped by 3 to win it.
Manly-tipped by 2 to win it.
Tigers-tipped by 2 to win it.
Several tipped Bulldogs to finish top but not win & several tipped Bunnies & eels to make top 8.
We didnt get tipped once for a top 8

Just the way we like it.
I think we will surprise a few "exspurts" this year.

Who cares where they rate us,truth is its all guess work until the season gets under way & even then will take a fair few rounds to get any idea on how things will unfold.

I watch NRL Daily (a new Bigpond Sport's program hosted by John Gibbs & Freddy) on my T-box and they interviewed a few players about their grand final predictions. Jake Friend was the only player who backed his own team to make the grand final. I'd rather follow a team whose players have self belief than the other numbskulls who predicted the likes of Melbourne to win.

Sorry, unless these guys have the uncanny ability to predict the future, I couldn't care less where they think (read: hope) we end up. Go Easts.
