I can't see how people on here are shocked by these tips. On most books across the country the Roosters are paying $34 to win the premiership - there are only a couple of teams behind them in the odds.

Personally I don't think there is a clear favourite for the spoon based on the playing roster. Most teams that get the spoon get it because of player unrest and in-fighting, injuries and loss of confidence.

Most people on here (myself included) rate the Roosters chances of making the 8 due to the quality of the young players coming through. People that don't follow the club as closely as its own supporters, would not be aware of a lot of this quality, so tipping them for the spoon would be quite reasonable.
