We have 29 including Jake - Jake's wage is included in the cap but are the Chooks able to replace him in the squad if funds are available.

Be 28 players then - they could sign a like for like backrower using Cords 350k after round 12 and with the 150 k available since TJP didn't sign they can sign Benny M to an NRL Contract (not sure what he is paid being a Bears player playing NRL) and give Hutch an extra year as well (funds from next year).

Can Turbo play 5/8?

I doubt we will get anyone of any significance.
I think Benny and Freddy can cover as a backup hooker. Lam, Keighran and Hutch when he gets back will cover 5/8.
If we can get Tapine that would be a huge coup but that is about 1000/1. I doubt Ricky would release him to strengthen us.
To fill in the 30 we will just promote someone from the lower grades.

I reckon Lachlan Lewis has ton's of ability, and in the right system could thrive. Can play 5/8 or utility, can kick, lots of skills and tough defender. Has been absolutely wasted at the Dogs.

Out of all that I agree with tough defender, he has to be one of the worst half's in the comp has a shocking kicking game and his passes make Brett Finch look good.
In the right system he might make an average ball playing lock similar to Connor Watson.
In the Bulldogs system however he looks like a sugar free Josh Reynolds.

Remis Smith was so shit at the dogs...now he goes to the Storm and, well he's not the best centre in the comp but he has improved 200% from his past level. Perhaps Trent has to follow Bellamy by getting a player with some talent and make him shine. Lachlan Lewis like every other dogs player can only do the best the club makes him. z

if it's correct that we can only spend cord's 350k after the twelfth round then it's 350k that we would be stupid not to spend. an extra first grader - any extra first grader - would give us more options

Seems to be so many injuries these days there's very few disgruntled players sitting in reserve grade to go and pick up.

I wonder what the plan is to replace Bmoz next year? If we were to go out and pick up someone like Garrick whether their parent club would be open to releasing them early for a small sum.
