Agree that Mini and Alofa was not the best example but in the 20's game we had 2 number 18, 19, 20, 22 and 23 so it got very confusing for those of us who have had little contact with our lower grades so far this season. Especially as there was not a name listed for our reserves bench in either the 20's or FG

...even if some wear last year's jerseys!
This year's trials have been a farce...fans kept in the dark as to who the players are.

Anasta in the forwards doesn't work.

Positions and numbers mean very little these days. Look at locks, Gallen is the prototype now, a prop/lock or tight forwards. Usually teams have 3 on the field and 2 mobile wide running back rowers who are almost centers.
I really believe the Bwaiff in the forwards means little if we play to a certain pattern and stick to it, like we did for most of 2010.
It's the same with the 1, 6, 7 and 9s. Most are interchangeable these days. That's what's disappointing with Mini. Great bloke and was a great player but without pace and ball skills he offers little in attack nowadays. Very safe of course, but that's only one aspect of FB play these days.
The FlogPen .
You know it makes sense.

Unfortunately he is still our best option at five eighth.Born and bred in the eastern suburbs.
