Enjoyable game which I think we had in control despite the Cowboys comeback. Credit to them making the most of a good flow of possession.
Some pretty footy with a tough edge...thats the Roosters way. Nice combos developing.
Teddy, Toups, Manu and Rads all strong. Good first game back from Lam, and nice first half young Sam. He wasn't happy with his game but he'll be right.#We Stand with ourJewish community#

Take the win and move on , loved how slick our attack looked at times. Some of our defence was a bit ordinary but we always looked like we were in control.
The forwards were terrific early on but we dropped off once JWH came off and I thought Robbo should have put him back on a bit earlier.
Teddy and Toops were great at the back and our centres had some classy touches. Lam had a really good game for us and he along with Walker will blossom off the back of Radley's ball playing.
Gus continued his strong form all year and is a walk up start for origin if fit

So will these moronic “crack-down” rules apply to State of Origin? They have to otherwise the who thing’s a bigger farce than we think. We’ll have 11 on 11, just like soccer. That’s great. PVL you are a moronic imbecile with the brains of a clown, and the judgement of a fool. Leave our game alone and go back to the squeaky clean horse racing game.

Credit the cowboys, they really tried to stick it to us, but we sort of lost our way as well.
Both those capt challenges were absolutely disgraceful decisions by the bunker. The "late hit" by Angus was laughableThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid

One thing to come out of this crack down is possible a change in the way players defend - less of players tackling ball carries upright and the holding them up and the wresting /turtling etc that goes - players will need to tackle lower and be rewarded for it like they do for dominant tackles - although they should get rid of dominant/surrender tackles and this has only encouraged the wrestling and judo tactics used in tackling.Last edited by King Salvo; 05-15-2021, 11:37 PM.

Ok I was at the game and if this was supposed to be our home game it doesn’t feel like it because when you have the ground announcer continuously trying to get the cow fans involved, while seldom involving the Roosters fans then there’s something wrong. Let’s hope that in the next magic round we play as the away team. It seems to me that the broncos and panthers need to do their share of home game for this magical round.

It may result in a different way of defending with players tackling lower - none of this tackling upright and the 3 defender tackles and the rubbish that goes on in these tackles to slow down play the balls.
Notwithstanding that Sitili had time to make a legal tackle but tackled high - it will cost him 2 games at least on the sideline - he has 50 carry over points and loadings.
The question though are repeated infringements and or professional fouls worth the same 10 minute sin bin as players hitting the attacking players in the head with their arm and or shoulder?
Of course another issue is when a defenders arm hits the shoulder of the ball carrier and hits them in the head - in the past players got off on such tackles - now it doesn't matter the defending player hit the ball carrier in the head.
Rightly or wrongly the players knew and now know the landscape - high tackles with "force" /defenders shoulder hitting the ball carriers head, repeated infringements and professional fouls will result in a sin bin or send offs for high tackles/defenders hitting the ball carriers head.
Losing a player can change the momentum of the game even for 10 minutes so all players should be aware of it and coaches need to address it.Last edited by King Salvo; 05-16-2021, 12:44 AM.

I can't wait till a 17th and 18th team are admitted and they have 2 conferences - Sydney and non Sydney one - With the Sydney one it will 3 grades on the same day/night - give the punter bang for their buck instead of the current one game onlyLast edited by King Salvo; 05-16-2021, 12:17 AM.

As I said, I hope next year we are not penalised by asking us to give up a home game.
