Physically we are as good as anyone. Mentally though......we will lose the close ones because of this. Unless we use brutality to scare the **** out of the opposition like our 2002 pack did/ We dont have the mental tougness yet - youth is like that. But maybe our energy and aggression will brealk the oppositions resolve.

    We'll lose the close ones.

The quiet weapon in this campaign has been kept under the radar. Hopefully he will reap teh praise in September like Carty and Pay and Dave Cement did.

It's a trial. That team can be completely different at kick off and every 20 minutes after

Indeed Buddy, you're exactly right. It's a trial afterall. Expect the same as last week.
Some eyebrows will be raised with the team that takes the field for the 1st qtr. Our 2nd half team will resemble the RD1 team
that takes on the 1994 Tooheys Challenge winners . Anasta & Leilua should be right to go for Rd1.

        I feel quite the opposite.
Aubs would still be our 4th choice centre behind SKD,BJ and now Moga.He is obviously our 1st choice 2nd rower. After just having shoulder surgery done, centre is a good position for him to get some lost game time in and gain full confidence with his shoulder in a less grueling defensive role.
It also frees up a second row position to trial some of our fringe players in this position, which we have an abundance of...

The Tigers will hold their own up the middle. It's out wide that will prove the difference for them.

Having Fitzgibbon around can only be a good thing for us.

Lol, good old 40-20, I wonder what we call him now, seeing he's almost 40.

I just hope he doesn't show the boys how to clog a back line, remember his and Pearceorfs inside ball fantasies.

A true legend of the club. I always remember how often he could hit the posts with a goal kick. About as often as Bwaiff kicking out on the full. From memory he did one in the 00 GF.

              The FlogPen .

              You know it makes sense.

Looks like a strong squad for a trial game....not too concerned about the numbers on their back for this game...coaching staff still just having a look to get best mix come Round 1.

When he first arrived at the Chooks he was a First Tryscorer specialist.

Then all of a sudden he couldn't score a Ronnie Coote at the Tea Gardens at 2am!
