Very true, though I was just talking about the occasion itself, my post was very emotional and after calming down, I'm sure the boys will be looking to bounce back next week. Robbo was very true with the players being very emotional throughout and couldn't unfortunately get it together but im sure the boys will win even with the curse of the Central Coast.

You can't judge people for leaving, the game was gone and it's a nightmare to get out of there if you have driven. I drive to every home game from the Blue Mountains and I always leave with a few minutes to go of the game is dead one way or another. I certainly don't think its disrespectful leaving early, especialy those with kids
Best these things are left to the end of the year anyway, the team and Robbo obviously didn’t know how to cope with the emotion and focus.

Saturday night.
Many people are still avoiding crowds...Covid.
Also, many fans hate the SCG.
"Cant see" ... "too far away" they say.

I think once we are away from the tip that is the SCG our crowds will improve enormously.
Anyone who hasn't been to bankwest needs to get out there and watch a game, it is sensational viewing.

Personally, upon reflection I believe that there was a few factors that added to last night's performances.
1. The day itself - Celebrating a club legend and dedicating a day to a club legend will bulid up alot of emotion. I've said my piece on this and personally I think the boys tried to go out there and play a game that was of Jakes quality.
2. Mind Games - As much as a grub Pangai is, he adopted the one thing that Jai Arrow used against us and using mind games to rile up Rads and JWH, clearly on show when Jarred gave that reckless penalty on 5th leading to Rads first sin bin. Clearly, Brisbane studied up on how to beat us which is to let us beat ourselves.
3. Sam Walker - Now he is 18 and I'm not blaming his performance on why we lost but clearly Brisbane did everything that everyone thought would turn out once he got his chance, in both attack and defense he was met with big bodies which really disrupted his flow and him throwing that intercept you could tell it got to him. He tried to be fearless and tried to create something outta nothing but he was under too much pressure to create which eliminated one of our key attacking weapons. At least now the media won't be putting on too much pressure on the kid and he will have his break soon with the bye.
4. Refs (Regrettably) - Now I'm someone who never wants to use the ref as an excuse for losing cause to me that's a cop out and just a way to blame a poor performance on. To me a mark of a great team is their resilience in times of setbacks which this team has clearly shown this season, however the refs truly got away with a few calls disrupting any momentum we couldve produced. The forward passes calls really killed us and obivously made a mark on the score board.
Overall, this team played down to inferior competition which is something you simply shouldn't do and clearly Brisbane had a game plan of rattling our key forwards up on an emotional occasion leading to our eventual capitulation. I believe that the team can absolutely bounce back but to me its hard to predict how this team will be come finals considering the injury toll and our team's discipline really killing us in key situations. I will stand by this team no matter what but last night proved that if you get our forwards riled up, we will be out of our groove. Onwards and upwards and hoping for all the best for the rest of the season and I strongly believe that 2022 will be a season to relish.
