Broncos are still shyte. However, Kelly's always been talented (I believe cocaine's what's stunted his career) and Haas/Lodge/TPJ did a successful thug job on us (partly because we were shyte and partly because we were scared that 1/2 our ream was gonna get sent off if we tackled too hard). Mead's a fullback who has been relegated to the wing, I believe?
I don't love Brisbane's roster or anything but a lot of those guys have limitless natural talent, just things haven't worked out for them. We had a cry when Rads was sent off and opened up the turnstiles for Brisbane rather than cooling the fark down and managing them outta the contest.

Well, definitely didn't see this loss coming. Especially at home while sending Jake off.
Some takeaways for me:
Really happy with Suaalii's debut. Thought he looked very comfortable and quite threatening. Showed very good hands sometimes, too.
Ikavalu is going to give me an anxiety attack. I love his effort and some of the games he has had for us, but he never looks safe under the high-ball. I hold my breath whenever a team kicks to him.
Thought Radley's first sin-bin was pretty fair, but thought the second was incredibly soft. Wasn't it just a marginal tap on the chin?
This might sound weird but I think we made a mistake in going after Pangai a bit. We've made this mistake in a few games we've played. Our forwards should work together and care less about what the others forwards are doing. Going after Pangai just revved him up more.
Obviously some of the refereeing was horrendous, and regardless of Roosters' bias, the games are really hard to watch at the moment. It was also hard to watch the Broncos appealing for a penalty on quite literally every tackle.
Hate to say it, and he was in no way the reason we lost, but I really dislike the look of Lam. I'd prefer Keighran in there for his goal-kicking. Outside of some tall bombs, I feel like Lam offers very, very little.
Not too concerned with this loss. Just one of those games. I still feel like if we field our best squad (of what is available) we'll be threatening come the finals.
Really hope Verrills gets back sooner rather than later. Marshke is doing well, but having a top shelf Hooker makes a big, big difference.
Again, not too worried about this, especially considering the Bunnies (our other top 4 rival) have just been absolutely hammered, and the Eels are a good chance of going down too. Not to mention the Raiders, whom we play next week, are in shocking form. They do always lift for us though.
Up the Chooks.
