The title of this thread is completely right - it was an embarrassing ref's performance.
Broncos are offside ALL night, and he never even pulls them up - NOT ONCE.
And the C#nt ref pull us up on the Butcher try, and pulls up the Keighran Try.
2 x 6 points = 12 which would have won us the game.
But he is F#@king inconsistent , and allows the Broncos a try on the same type of play.
The roosters were playing in a tight contest and when you get all the ref decisions against you, and all the favourable decisions go to the opposition, you know you are never going to win.
For sure, it wasn't our best performance, we could have controlled the game better, and one individual played with much too much emotion.
But I'd rather have that than not turn up at all.
And for any of you guys that say the Roosters performance was embarrassing , you can go get F@#ked , just like the ref can.
You are not true Rooster supporters if you say that.
This team busts its arse, every week.
I've seen performances that have been disappointing, yes , but very , very few have been embarrassing.

Actually the Broncos were paying $13 just before kick off and were 50/1 to win by 13 plus.... not that it means anything. We just need to regroup and think of next weeks game

What was concerning was Robbo allowing Radley to go back on after the second sin binning as he was placed on report another 2 times after that - all up 4 reports and 2 sin bins.

Manu is on report twice and JWH and Liu once so they also await possible charges
Struggling to remember but I’m pretty sure that with his two binnings that he didn’t even contact the head. Force in a tackle causing head movement doesn’t mean contact to the head. Glasses or no glasses, I thought he played hard and as he should. He’s an enforcer and without that sort of play, teams who have those feared players won’t have that edge anymore.

I do agree with you on why Robbo left him out there though. I remember commenting to a mate the same thing during the game.

We were an ill-disciplined rabble, when we should've been playing properly, and getting 2 points.

Yes, we got belted by the Broncos...and were shown up as having no chance of making top 4 and having a shot at the title this year.

We obviously think our team is better than it is.

Sure, no argument I just thought momentum was with us, so close to the line, they were down to 12 with 7 to go. But from a numbers point I get it :-)

It was and to miss that Donkeys forward pass that led to the try was more than bloody embarrassing....not 1 onfield official caught it. Wondering if the refs are so like tuned into the contact with the head stuff that they are missing a shit ton of other stuff.

And that 6 again seems to be a fcuken lottery man, I saw them laying all over us at times and nada,

                But we still played shyte.

To say last night was disappointing is an understatement.

I'm happy you agree, we were down by 14 before we took the kick, so we would have had to score 3 tries in 7 minutes, and convert at least 2 of them, so it made sense to take the kick.

Great to hear, hopefully the match can be erased from my memory in a few days too haha

We didn't help ourselves, but neither did the ref! The Broncs did play clever, and they knew which winger not to kick to. With 13 on 13 for the whole game I'm sure we could've won, but we panicked, and too many harbour bridge passes will eventually lead to an intercept try. Lam could've scored on his own early on but threw un unnecessary pass.....lack of confidence?

That was early on when Sitili camped in the line and got pinged? No I think the pass was on there.

Confidence is key especially to young halves. I'd be asking Ted to pare it back a bit and let the halves do their stuff...its the only way to develop, mistakes n all.

Yes and no doubt that's not ideal. But for a long time now we have lost our defensive resilience. Where once we would make an error in our own red zone, we would defend it no worries. Other teams couldnt do this. We can no longer stay in the grind like we used to. The back end of last year was the same.

And for this reason we are not competing with the better sides.
