  • When will the ball carrier be binned and reported?

With this ridiculous crackdown, when will the ball carriers impact come under scrutiny? There is a great shot of Haas being tackled my Marshke, Haas elbow / forearm clearly comes into contact with the defenders head jaw, by the letter of the law during this crackdown, it was high and with impact yet it goes unpunished? Surely it is a bin and penalty.

surely the NRL know in every tackle made there is at some point contact with the head neck area of both the ball player and the defender, overkill officiating like these last W weeks is like tossing a turd in a fan and expecting no blow back.

    idiots

hopefully someone more tech savvy can post the pic I’m referring too

    cheers

No there isn't and there won't be in the future, and if the ball carrier hits the defender in the head with his elbow or forearm he should be reported as well.

watch every game, every tackle at some point there is some form of contact with the head, no matter how incidental it is, the Haas pic is a perfect example of this

Unfortunately the refs are only enforcing these rules on the defense.

I do watch every game, and what you have said is just not true, it's not about having a defenders head on a players thigh or ano other part of his body when making a tackle. that's ridiculous. Mate, I don't want to argue about this, but be sensible, it's about protecting the players from concussion, I know it's a pain in the butt when a 90% legitimate tackle is penalised because it goes slightly wrong, but that's the only way to get the message through. It can't stop now, they have to keep going, and the coaches and players have to make the adjustment first.

If this rule was enforced then we would be losing JWH almost every match he plays.

If that’s the case then they should look at tacklers that tackle low because only 30% of failed HIAs is from being hit in the head whilst 60% are from making legitimate tackles.

That is the first thing I thought, start policing that and JWH might as well retire before he gets suspended out of the game.

It's about protecting them from ILLEGAL contact, I thought even someone of below average intellect would understand that.
