In relation to your last quote on the forward pass, like I said all the officials are to busy looking for high shots they are missing everything else.
You have not answered my question. On the first sin binning of Radley please tell me how he made contact with the head? I thought that was the rule! Every commentator on tv and on radio have said that they couldn’t see where the head contact was. Sure it was a hard tough tackle and Radley did leap to give maximum impact and hurt to the opposition, but isn’t that what he’s supposed to do?

Not sure which direction the game is heading, someone needs to be done with the officiating at the end of this season, I’ll be clear it’s there the officials fault they are only doing what there told, it’s the administrators running the game.

We also can’t blame the officials for what happened with Rads he knew the new rules but still went for it.
Yeah, Rads knew the rules but as I have mentioned elsewhere, to be given 10 twice for what appeared to not even hit a head was utter crap. The guys an enforcer and he did his job. He stood up to protect his playmaker as he should. Rather than be rewarded he gets rubbed out. The NRL did not want that game to be another huge blowout against one of their darling sides so we were officiated against differently and more harshly. IMO, that's the point blank truth.

Agreed and in the shot on Pangai, just because the force of the tackle makes is head go back doesn't mean he contacts the head. It looked worse because he was rocked back. Did you also see that diver fain for a crusher and get up smiling before realising he hadn't sold it enough and went down again quickly to make sure he didn't look like a cat.

I wouldn't mind if this crackdown if it will reduce HIAs...but the majority of the HIAs are happening to defenders.. The number HIAs have not changed, but the speed of the game has.

Surely there is a correlation between this abominable 6 again rule and player fatigue and number of injuries and head high shots?

Not to mention the blowouts each week.

4 ‘good’ sides playing yesterday, yet 2 blowouts.

              The AFL must be laughing.

agree with you mate, yet Roosters aren’t fighting it.

Fingers crossed he wins for the downgrade on the other one.

As wrong as he can be, was interesting to hear Joey Johns say he walked out of the game.

Also lots of reports in the last couple days that Gould has blown up big time at V'landys.
This is exactly what we need to happen in order to get the game back to what it was.
Gould and Johns, as much as they tend to spew nonsense from time to time, have forgotten more about the game of rugby league than V'landys will ever know

Am I the only one who saw the slow motion video of both hits from Radley where his shoulder hits both guys in the head? first one he was off the ground when he hit their kicker.

League should be only played by headless chooks. Perhaps it is time for the game to be played by radio controlled boxing robots ($29 at Kmart) controlled by the current players. If you want to avoid head injuries, take up boxing. Time for super league part two, this time I'd support it.

The charge was dangerous contact head/neck on Albert Kelly - i thought dangerous contact -other perhaps although they will say his shoulder came into contact with Kelly's head when he tried to wrap his arms around Kelly thus dangerous contact head/neck - Must have looked at it to not dispute the charge as he took the early plea i.e wrong charge like Mini - They have overtime cracked down on such tackles on kickers though.

The Pengai one his shoulder did hit Pengai's head so it's a grading issue - there is no disgression if the first contact was with the shoulder or ball it's where the arm or shoulder ends up.

Have a look in the following link

Crichton would have been only fined but with 2 priors for similar incidents and 1 non similar offence in the past 2 years his offence is allocated points plus the carryovers and loading's that go with it- he too needs to follow the rules.

Maybe they need to look at the grading's/loadings etc going forward as part of a review of the match reporting/mrc and judiciary process
