  • Jason Ryles (former Melbourne Storm Assistant Coach)

Sydney Roosters have spoken to Jason Ryles as a potential replacement for Craig Fitzgibbon with the proviso that he is willing to commit for at least two seasons.

Not a bad candidate. Ryles comes from a strong club and system and is highly regarded. Plus he's an ex Roosters player as well.

    Thoughts ?

Good, replace one rooster with another and Ryles is proven
    EASTS TO WIN!

This appears to be the career path for aspiring NRL coaches - work at The Storm and then go to finishing school at The Roosters. Adam O'Brien was meant to be here for two years too, but failed to honour his agreement.

I understand Ryles is highly regarded as a young coach.

He was vastly underrated for us in 2010 – was probably our best forward with Conn that year.
Making Steve Naughton look like Vince Mellars...

He was a player when Robbo was just starting his coaching career. Makes sense.

You’d imagine he’s served a pretty decent apprenticeship under Bellamy. Plus he’s played for our club. If this is what Robbo wants than I hope it happens.
