  • Cordner Delayed Return...

“He won’t be back for Gold Coast or Penrith, but it is of expectation he will be back after state origin 2 break which would be the storm, he is training against the full time squad now so he’s getting there”

Trent Robinson on Boyd Cordners return date via @RoostersRadio

So he comes back against the drizzle, the team whose players have previously concussed Boyd on more than one occasion. Nothing will go wrong with that plan.

I saw him at the Broncos game when my Daughter got a photo with him and he was limping quite noticeably

Another injury then or simply existing damage to his knees? Either way, what would another concussion mean for his career, but way more importantly, his quality of life after rugbaleeg? What more does Boyd think he has to prove or do in the game? As you can probably tell, I think it's time he hung up the boots.

after 8months off, and there is still uncertainty, it doesn’t sound promising.

That's weird cause I saw him squatting heavy at the gym via social media just yesterday?

Wouldn't it be fitting if he could finish his career with a final premiership this year??

Saw him training last week with the boys, seemed to be running fine.

By the sounds of it Robinson just wants to get some more fitness and match readiness into him.

I got the same feedback from a mate who saw him that night.

He's that many knee/ankle injuries he probably limps permanently.

Laurie Daley walks like an 80 year old.

i'm on board for him coming back. he's a big boy and can make his own decisions and i believe he has medical advice that says his brain is pristine and that he has a good chance of finishing off his career on his terms.

He must be alright if people have seen him training and running around and also squatting heavy at the gym.

Drizz will be backing up from Origin. IMO it could be a clever launch to our season. Here's how I see it...
                            - Beat the Titans O
                            - Fire a warning shot at the Riff X
                            - Beat the Drizz O
                            - Smash the Doggies O
                            - Smash the cows O
                            - Smash the Knights O
                            - Beat the Eels O
                            - Beat the Riff at home O
                            - Smash the Drongos in Brissy O
                            - Smash the Merge at Cogarah O
                            - Dispose of the Vermin O
                            - Bring sorrow to the Faders' fans O

If we play properly, I reckon that's a bloody good home run!!!

Also... the Riff haven't had to face Teddy, Manu, Suaalii, Walker and Verrills in attack. Manu and Suaalii were like giants against boys last week against a Faders team that (IMO) had more depth to their pigs and were desperate for that win (started out 10-0). IMO a lot of teams woulda seen two super athletic, 195cm centres playing off Teddy (without Walker + Verrills) and sh@t themselves.

I honestly think we have the best roster in the comp by far... like ridiculously so. We just need to work on our consistency and discipline. Hard when Cleary's got a chin that's lower than his chest (so any tackle on him is 'high'). We'll beat him though... even if we have to pop a few of those pimples in the process.

No he doesn't, I saw him 3 weeks ago.
