  • Predictions/strategies for the Pamfers game

Don't wanna get ahead of myself (right now the Titans are my main focus & we can't afford to slip-up). However, since the Riff's lost 2 games on the trot, I reckon a notable weakness has been exposed in their ranks. They rely heavily on their Origin players (their halves, a hooker, a winger and two back rowers). Meanwhile, we're still winning games without players in these exact positions.

Can we exploit this and by doing so, place ourselves in a position where they're only 2 points above us on the ladder? (Reflecting the reality of this season... if you rub out our stupid losses to Brisbane and the Eels, we're even with the Riff Raff despite injuries and suspensions derailing a lot of our chances).

In the past I've seen teams do a job on us by isolating some of our key tactical players. Whether it be the thuggish tactic of sending front rowers at Walker or the Sharks kicking every single ball to Toops to prevent him doing the 2nd hit-up, what kinda stuff would you be considering if you were the coach?

Take their halves and Yeo out of the game. Much easier said than done but those three are extremely dangerous players.

This is 100% the definition of getting ahead of yourself.

Need to get past the Titans before we can even dream of being within 2 points of the Panthers.

The game's in 10 minutes mate and the bookies are paying $$$ for the Titans (without Brimson) to win. Still time to get your bet in buddy...

I'm not Robbo, I'm a fan... so me speculating has no impact on the outcome.

Can we just beat the Titans first!?

You’ve gone off way too early. Mrs ISM must love that.

Did anyone notice in the Pamfers v Sharks presser last night that the Pamfers had their own banner with their own sponsors when they were talking. Never seem that before in all my life. I thought that was one of the benefits of playing at home - more people saw the local teams sponsors. But appears that for the Pamfers they see it that way.

I'm sure I've seen it a few times laterly for various team's, maybe I first noticed it during magic round.
Even today in our press conference we had our teams banner.

Don’t forget it’s us vs the riff vs ref & bunker with an under strength side. Due to the amount of injuries, players out, we aren’t much chance against top teams because of two things. Ref tilts the momentum in favour of our opposition and we commit stupid errors and have poor ball discipline which enables teams to camp on our line for multiple sets. With plenty of ball we can beat riff but when do we ever get that? Without possession no matter how good our attack is, without the ball, we are very vulnerable even against wooden spooners and almost lost tonight. Against riff they would have put 60+ on us tonight.

I can’t see us winning that game. I just hope we aren’t embarrassed. If we do win it will be all time.
