  • Anasta's back injury.

Braith injured his back @ the preseason boot camp, is the reason he hasn't played in the trials.

He went into the comp underdone last season also.

It will be interesting to see what call Smith makes here. Souffs are there for the taking but we can't underestimate them by having players that are not match fit out there.

The way he is about him, Braith could be in a full body cast and still play.

      Calling Jeff Giloolly.

On a positive note he may very well be 100% fit.

I hope he is their 100% fit & has a good game & we win.

Listen guys I am going to come out now and seriously make the call that if Braith is out this a bad thing. At this stage I still prefer him to Mortimer although Mortimer has impressed in the two trials thus far. I hope Smithy is just putting up a smokescreen with Anasta fit and ready to go. He isn't and never was the Next Freddy but he is still the best option at 5/8 IMO and the team's captain.

I would have thought someone would have warned you to stay away from Ma-Fen, Mad Man.

Agree totally, but some contact and match fitness would be nice to take into rnd 1?? 6 is an important possy in all teams.

It's not surprising he injured himself at the boot camp. It's probably the first time he's really had to run because he certainly doesn't do any running in games.

I still think Kheirallah and Mortimer in the halves are almost as good as Anasta and Pearce if not better.. Honestly the way they try those chip kicks and grubbers and the way they run the ball and take the line on.. They always look dangerous. Especially Kheirallah in the Dogs trial game as halfback. I think I remember him chipping at about half way then regathering then chipping and regathering again and then being tackled about 2 metres out from their try line. Epic stuff.
