  • Best game you ever saw live?

Was just reminiscing about some of the games I've seen live, the 2010 Roosters Tigers final is far away the best game I've ever seen at a ground.

Wondering what favourites others might have, whether that be club games, Origins, Tests, Grand Finals, etc?

      2002 Grand Final.
      The wait was too long.
Freddie raising his hands to the crowd.
      An emotional night.

The 1st half of the 2018 GF was like a dream.

From the moment the announcer stated that Cronk was playing to the half time whistle.

It was a festival of unbridled joy, watching a great Roosters team play the most perfect footy I've ever seen in a GF; all in a sea of red, white and blue fans.

Nothing will ever beat that game for me.

          2018 grand final
There's a reason why the young and idealistic become the old and cynical.
          It's called experience.

Went to all the games mentioned above that were outstanding.
For me though our GF win over the Storm was the best I have ever attended. The boys were clinical and the result was never in doubt. Being there with my wife and 2 Daughters just made it even better

The Roosters v Souths in the last game at the SFS, winner go's into the GF. Sold out, it was electric better than the 2018 GF which I attended.

2002 preliminary final against the Broncos. Awesome game and the atmosphere at the SFS rocked - particularly after the game (ole ole ole ole roosters rosters).

it led to our fist comp in 25 odd years and was back before we started to expect to win it every year

I can’t split the 18 and 19 grand finals. Sure we dominated the 18 final and what Cronk did was incredible but I’ve never seen a team crank up the intensity like we did in the 19 grand final the moment Cronk was binned. I was supremely confident of getting that win after about 2 mins of that sin bin. Our intensity increased two fold and Canberra couldn’t match it with an extra man on.

Outside of grand finals though I’d say the 2013 qualifying final against Manly that ended 4-0. That was inspirational. Or the 2003 prelim against the Dogs as a kid sitting in the middle of the Dogs army about 5 metres from the drums and getting abused when we started to stack the points on.

The Roosters vs. Manly qualifying final in 2013. Manly had something like 55% possession and more run metres but our defence was all class and we managed a great victory. That was the night I realised the Roosters would win the premiership.

Attack wins games but defence wins premierships!

Not sure I could ever watch a Roosters Souffs grand final. It's the game everyone wants but if we were to lose...
