I know that we will be up against it tonight, and so it is a very long shot, but I hope that we can go out to the foot of the Blue Mountains and do everyone associated with our fine team and club proud.

Let's go out there and do our level best, and leave nothing in the tank.

Panthers by 12, but Easts to fight.
    MRR or Rabid

Some people believe supporting the Roosters
is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed
with that attitude. I can assure you it is
much, much more important than that.

Well that Trent bloke is pretty smart. Rest Sitilli and Sam, blooding and game time the next gen against the ladder leaders
      adversity.
      EASTS.
up against it but winnable i guess depends if the ref needs game time himself

Hope so Jack I like Joey at 6 and Suaalii outside him it gives us a couple of big bodies on the right edge and if Egan Butcher is in between them a good opportunity to see what he has got.

The silver lining of this year is no expectation, I'm finding I'm enjoying the games each week just watching the kids play footy.

If we don't win I just think how it's good that every 30+ members of our squad are getting valuable experience for when we do next year.

Call me crazy but we’ll win by four points tonight. Will be a slugfest, 22-18

            we’re due a big scalp.

vs South’s early in the year, discipline hurt us. Vs Parra earlier in the year, injuries hurt us and sh1t reffing. Vs Melbourne we ran out of steam in the second half after turning over possession with one of the finest defensive half of football performances I can recall.

it’s only a matter of time until we put it into an 80 minute performance.

this is why I am so narrow minded and naive that we’ll actually cause an upset tonight.

            EASTS TO WIN

I always want us to win and would be lying if I said otherwise. However, I reckon it's a massive piece of commitment to get out there and SUPPORT the team. People like you and Wayne L are awesome... no matter what happens, I hope it's a good game to watch.

Wish I could go (almost could from Canberra in terms of distance as it's the Riff) but it's my night to put my little one down (at ~7:30) so I might not even get to watch it at home. Also, he's got Vietnamese school first thing on Saturday morning.

Massive test though ay! I feel like Penrith are the benchmark this season so our attitude and composure will be the most important take-away. Obviously we know where the punters sit on this one and I get it. However, I don't bet on sports for a reason. Let's see how it goes...
Thanks mate. About to head off now, excited to see the young guys go around. If we were to steal this win we will need to punch them up the middle having SST back helps expecting both big games from him and once again our leader JWH. It’s strange, only last season when we played them in the semi’s we were labelled as “ dads army “ but now we are the young, inexperienced team how the tables have turned… JS is also a local Penrith boy so hoping he can play.

No crazy in that. I have never watched a match where I thought that we would lose, and I've watched them all.

                    Go Easts!

                      That's the spirit!!!

I wouldn't bother watching a game if I didn't think we had a chance of winning. The bookies wouldn't make shyte if all the teams that were predicted to win ended up doing so. TBH I wouldn't even call us winning an 'upset'... we're not cellar dwellers. We're a top-shelf team that's had a bit of bad luck with injuries.

Tough one tonight. Apart from the diehards, no one is giving us a chance. Easts by 1

                            Newsflash...

I've decided to stay up past my bedtime, support my team, get out all my lucky crystals and watch this one..no excuses or whinging..just don't judge me for having vegan chocolate and a burger made from cauliflower..

Thank you for that. I expect us to win every match. We are certainly not a poor team, look at our missing players and our position on the ladder. I have utmost respect for the inexperienced ones coming in, having to fill such large boots. We will win the GF this year.

Yes well said. I always enjoy watching young players make their debuts and get through their first season as even superstars have to start somewhere. I'm getting quite excited now about this game..
