  • Roosters were way the better team with possession and 13 players on the field. The game breaker was the sin bin where we conceded 14 points for basically nothing. Take the ref out of this game and we would have won easily. All the calls favoured them, 6 agains, penalties in front, sin bin.

What can robbo do? He can only work with the fit players he has.
Storm will never cop the treatment we do by the refs , it's imperative that the game is strong in Melbourne

        • Ikavalu has done some great stuff for us. Don't throw him under the bus. He's not first choice.

I can't defend lam but he's not first choice either.

think tonight showed Manu isn’t a great half when he needs to organise, best he is just given a license to roam the field from Center.

lam is a concern with his creativity, his 5th tackle options were atrocious most of the night, but it is unfair to judge him without a full strength team, it’s the best we can field, so we just have to go with it.

I think Suaalii deserves a few games on the wing, Ikuvalu as good a fil in as he has been, is pretty ordinary under the high ball, give the young kid a chance there.
wouldnt mind seeing manu and walker combo, as its clear walker is the organiser in the team now keary is out.

i bare no ill will towards iku, hes a reserve grader and given a few games at a time to shine. but playing for long periods mistakes will obviously start to come to the surface more often.

wondering if trent gives lam and iku another shot vs the storm next game as were down on even more troops to play it safe then mix it up vs the shitter teams

fair enough! thats even better news.

more time for sammy to recover and ikuvalu to learn how to catch bombs

                • Just no ball to make a decent game of it. But part of that were our own errors and mistake free from Penrith.

No standouts really for us apart from JWHs first half. Everyone seemed a yard off the pace.

Some more lessons I guess and a few troops to come back. Down, but not out.

                  • It’s easy to bag the likes of Ikuvalu & Lam but lets be real, at the end of the day they’re easily dropped and replaced because they’re on small contracts.

There were some big money earners on that field tonight who just didn’t step up to the plate tonight. I felt sorry for JWH & Teddy who clearly put in a shift and a half. I appreciated the efforts of Manu.& Suaali too, I’d probably keep them as the right edge combo moving forward.

Really disappointed in Toops, SST & Crichton tonight. Not saying they didn’t try but they all have the quality to be at the level JWH & Teddy were at tonight and they just didn’t deliver.

Tough night, not completely unexpected but they all still hurt.

Not whinging. It's the reality... we've had such a great run but you can't stay up forever. We need to make some changes. FFS even Toups is 30! JMOZ is 35. We are overachieving, but we can't deny losing both captains permanently and one of the greatest wingers of all time... there really no-one to step in. We may need to temper out expectation. Nearly losing to the Sharks earlier this year was a warning... or a taste of things to come.

                      • Toops is one of my favourite Roosters, but he was pretty ordinary tonight.
Guess we need to give him the benefit of the doubt, after so many prior good performances.
Lam's effort to tackle when Issah Yeo scored was inept.
Changes need to be made in the halves and some spots in the backs.

SST is 29. Not old, but has lost his confidence this year, nowhere near the player he was.

Like the rain tonight proved, fair weather fans are a dime a dozen.

We all celebrated when Matt I scored 5 tries and last week he scored 2, one to rescue the game but he has one bad game, like a few others but his the scapegoat, and I also agree about Lam. Does nothing in attack. It’s like playing with only one half.

                              • Boys against men that's what happens and always should happen in rugby league when you play a team full of reserve graders against a team of first graders that's full of origin players I reckon we were lucky not to have 50 put on us, that's a credit to the team, Too many injuries, retirements nothing has gone right this year Were done this year I'm looking forward to an injury free season in 22.We wont make the 8 this year
