  • Very kind of Klein to give us a 6 again as the full time siren sounded to go along with the one on our first tackle to pad the stats.

      • The game is a modern day version of unlimited tackle.

Actually, he is. From round 1 our 1st choice halves were Keary & Lam. Before he got hurt he was our chosen 5/8.

Very very well said 08, minus the language lol! Couldn’t agree with you more and wish I could hit the like button more than once!

Ikuvalu has 16 errors in the last 7 games. And that doesn't even count the times he drops the high ball backwards into the lap of the opposition.
It's not throwing him under the bus, he's rubbish and should've been replaced long ago. It just gets glossed over by most when we win

              • Possession was 60 % Riff to 40% Chooks - but again incomplete sets is a killer - 22 out of 33 - 67% -( 1st half 10/13 - second half 12/20 )- Chooks need to be 90% plus set completions - been poor all year

                Riff 37 out of 46 - 80% - ( 1st half - 19/23 - second half - 18/23 )

                • Interesting press conference. Robbo claims Manu copped a shoulder charge to the head and we had to use an interchange to take him off.

At least with unlimited tackle the defensive line was only 5 metres away......I actually think going back to the 5 right now would fix a lot of the problems the game has at the moment, the balance between attack and defence is all out of whack.

                    • Well that was about what I expected given the ref, the pamfers losing the previous two, the stupid pills the Roosters players keep taking, and of course, the following:

                      Retired: Cordner, Friend, BMoz
Injured: Keary, Collins, Hutchison, NButcher, Tupouniua, Walker
                      Suspended for R15: Radley, Marschke
                      Total missing: 11
Back this week: Tedesco, Verrills, Taukieaho - the latter two of whom looked a little underdone

                      Next up, the drizzle.

To clarify, he's not mine. Technically you're right but we hadn't seen walker in round one. Given first crack yes. Pretty sure the coaches know walker has that higher ceiling of talent to partner keary long term.

There were some big money earners on that field tonight who just didn’t step up to the plate tonight. I felt sorry for JWH & Teddy who clearly put in a shift and a half. I appreciated the efforts of Manu.& Suaali too, I’d probably keep them as the right edge combo moving forward.

Really disappointed in Toops, SST & Crichton tonight. Not saying they didn’t try but they all have the quality to be at the level JWH & Teddy were at tonight and they just didn’t deliver.

Tough night, not completely unexpected but they all still hurt.
Some of our senior players haven't stood up for a couple of years in big games against quality sides.
I think a lot of the injuries we have received have covered up some of the short comings in our team.
As much as I don't think we get a fair go by some refs our poor discipline gives them the opportunity to punish us and our resilience in defence is nowhere near what it was like in the back to back teams.
To'o showed tonight why he was picked ahead of Toops in origin, he runs harder and is more urgent.
SST has gone from being in the top half dozen props in the game to an average front rower.
JWH was superb but without Victor's ball playing at lock our forwards have been dominated by the good packs.
Once Keary went down I looked at this year as a golden opportunity to blood some youngsters and give them some experience but it will also show which one's are worth sticking with and some will need cutting.

                          • too early to slit our wrists yet. we'll be 5th after our next game and should rack up some wins after that. panthers played great, the sin bin was a joke and i don't think tauks gets suspended, we made some bad errors but all up the loss wasn't a knock out blow

                            • The product is so poor, will be interesting to see viewing figures as that is is only thing that will influence the top brass. Rugby league has become boring, people think points = entertainment. One of my favorite games was the. 4-0 victory over Manly in the first week of the 2013 finals

Replace him with who? An injured Billy Smith? I just mean to acknowledge his efforts as well as his errors.

In this current situation we're lucky to have him. Hutcho too copped a bit on here before he started playing well before his injury.

Topline fit players that stuff up consistently grind my gears but I don't expect too much from the backups. We heavily invest in our top 17.
