Robbo said that he's not happy with how the high tackle calls have been ruled for us.
It seems that all the non-calls against us suddenly get picked up the next week and that's confirmed by the fact that 3 of our last 5 refs have been dropped a week later

    • We are 5th on the ladder, probably a fair position considering everything so far this year.
If we can get our best team on the field each week, we are easily a top 8 team.
Unfortunately we are just not up there with the best this year.
Robbo needs to have one eye on 2022!

      • At least our next games against all the top 4 are at home!!!

        • We played well, led 12-0 and had them rattled until the ref intervened with the sinbin. Then 14 points and not one set up until half time. Sure we made a few mistakes, the knock on in goal and not finding touch but riff scored off all ref calls. Without ref calls just how many points did they actually score? Our 5th tackle options were dreadful but with a Grade C team against the so called best, they needed all the help in the world from the ref to get them over the line.

            • I thought Suaalii really played strong, he has to be centre next week and smith on the wing, Manu another go at 5/8 with Walker back running the side next game.

              • On a positive note I thought Suualli was fantastic in defence tonight , he shut down some raids and stopped To'o in his tracks which I haven't seen anyone do.
His attack and how we use him will improve no end but his athleticism and game awareness tells me he will be a beauty.
Thought young Fletcher Baker has a bit about him and this year will only improve him for the following years.

I didn’t have to much of an issue with the sst binning, if that was the only tackle that had been binned for slipping, I’d have an issue, but Robbo was one of the biggest advocates for it originally. We have seen plenty binned for similar.

this is the current shit game of rugba leeeg.

With Robbo, looks like he is getting frustrated due to the inconsistency.

Last week Proctor doesn’t get sent for 10.
Manu getting hit in the head yet it’s ignored.

no wonder he is getting frustrated lol

                    • I understand the disappointment expressed here, but there were some very encouraging signs for the Roosters. Penrith are the competition favourites, have a half back in world's best form, have had their entire team on the paddock for most of the year, and got given a match-winning lead through a dodgy sin binning. The Roosters have a few stars left but they are playing with rookies and some of Radley's mates from the pub.

Worrying right... as much as I sympathise, he's usually a positive dude who articulates stuff really well. For a few weeks now, he's basically just used his presser to say that the rules about high tackles are shyte & have decided the game.

That said, even Cleary ended his presser saying the call was BS. So did the ref (the bunker over-ruled him).

Whadda you do? The rules won't change back any time soon. Our players aren't coming back until next year. Add JWH and SST to the suspension list. Sigh... I was proud of our effort but I'm tired and deflated by how it happened because I think we coulda done a lot better but for Vland-arse's stupid policy. Get rid of him. Not saying we woulda won, but Vland-arse has wrecked the game. Enough!!! Can the policy. Fans really need to take a stand. Replace those stupid beanies with 'sack Vland-arse' beanies. Surely FANS should have been consulted?

Yep, game needs to work itself out pretty quick, cleary also mentioned it probably didn’t deserve a sin binning, but when you win you can say anything to keep the masses happy, when you lose, it sounds like a whinge.

they've modified the crackdown a bit. that tackle was pretty much the same as the cowboys bloke's tackle on teddy - that bloke got binned but only got a fine (which is the same as saying that he shouldn't have been binned)

Trouble is they make the same errors - set completions of 67% is poor and been an issue all season and not improving and it puts a lot of pressure on a struggling and fragile defence - Chooks need to be 90 % plus and as i said on an earlier post the Chooks needed 56% or so of the possession to be a Chance of winning that game - possession ended up 60-40 to the Riff.

The defence tonight was poor one has to say as they let the Riff run at will - it started well very physical a straight line and in the Riff's face - then it was all over the place with players waiting to see what the Riff would do with the ball and it was like some of the Riff players had spiders on them as no one wanted to tackle them.

People can say the sin bin effected the result but they train for that they say so it should be something although not great that they should be able to cope with though.

A lot of work is needed on getting the basics rights - set completions and the defence

                              • Robbo is a smart man, there are better ways then winging at a press conference.

Forget about the officials for a few mins and think about the completion rate, there a lot of work to do on that.
