How does this all tie in with the international game? IMO 1/2 the issue is that the international game is shyte, so the NRL sorta 'owns' the rules.

IMO somebody has to realise that there's established rules in all football codes. We don't HAVE to change shyte every year.

To me, stability is very important. It means that teams can build tactics and develop cultures over the year. While adapting to change is important... it's BS when (for example) a top-tier team is penalised outta the comp by incorrect sin-bin rulings or a bottom-8 team almost wins the comp because they're allowed to do 5-man strips on every tackle without being penalised for a hand of the ball...etc.

Willing to bet you'd also decrease injuries and make contests more competitive by having a freeze on rule changes. I mean we have enough talent on our roster to adapt! What about the bottom-8 teams that already s*cked and are now losing 60-0 every week because rule changes have delivered a knock-out blow to them? It's annoying!

The free to air broadcast license is up for renewal and PVL is driving the price down so as it makes the cut price Fox renewal he negotiated last year look good.
