Yeah, TPJ, Haas & Lodge are all 117kg, and look how good the Broncos are going!!
    Haas is playing Origin.
    He's unavailable.
JWH is the most penalised player in the NRL...hit someone high in the Panthers game and was penalised.
    Radley is suspended.
Pangai we need, others players of ours turned their lives around.
    We need a 117kg forward.

We need a prop to replace JWH.

Let's just recall Robinson's comments when we were linked to him last year

"I don’t know what’s going on up there but we’ve worked really hard - as you can see - for the type of player that we want," he said.

"And he’s not going to fit that mould."

between him radley and jwh, they could rake up more suspensions than the other teams combined

Tevita Pangai Jnr had been sounded out about an immediate move to the Sydney Roosters but an impending suspension is likely to scupper that.

NICK TEDESCHI wraps up the week in rugby league in From The Couch. The Broncos Have Not Reached Rock Bottom It is hard to believe that the Anthony Seibold Era at the Broncos was not rock bottom but it clearly was not based on the simmering mess that is the Brisbane Broncos this year. I was initially against TPJ....but maybe it could work.

Im not concerned about his off field indiscretions....its nothing compared to some of the players Robbi has turned around like Friend,Fergo & Tetavano. Besides breaking Covid protocol (which Nathan Cleary also did & then blatantly lied about it) i cant think of him having any other issue???

Theres no doubt that when he is switched on he is a devastating beast. His offloads especially are great and he can cover front & back row.

While i think Robbo can improve him i think playing & training alongside JWH could get the best consistently out of him. Add Radley & Collins (next year).....its a forward pack with some serious skill & punch in it.

However the Roosters since 2013 have only paid big money for 2 already established forwards- SBW & Angus. There have been no others so thats just way it might roll

                  Exactly.
Do we want a team of gentlemen, bounce straight up and never lie down ones?
                  A team of angels?
Or do we want to win games?
Maybe as we slide down the ladder the thinking re Pangai will change.

The Drongos are happy to pay $200K of his salary or more to get rid of him.... yet we need him ??? He is a proven flog, cheap shot merchant, big headed tosser. NO fukkin way.

Doesn’t give a shit about broncos, doubt he would give a shit about the tigers, but I wonder how he would go playing for a club he “wants” to play for? Apparently has wanted to come play for us a few times.

could we use the Cordner salary cap dispensation for him this year, and see how he goes? Think he would be worth a shot for the remainder of the year.

So many people act as if they know this guy off field personally, yeah he hasn’t been playing well but neither would anyone on our roster if they were playing for the broncos... it’s a club in a terrible spot.. talent is talent and Robbo Is more than capable of making TPJ fire on all cylinders.

I dunno the guy but tend to agree.

Why have Donaghy, Ikin and Lockyer earmarked him as the first person to go? I don't have a lot of love/respect for the Drongos, but it's a conscious decision to fark him off ASAP.

I'm all about 'innocent until proven guilty'. However, one's character/reliability is also important. Given the Drongos are doing a cultural clean-out, I think it's a fair assumption that his sacking has something to do with cultural aspects as opposed to talent & form.

Could be wrong but I suspect this guy would be at home with Daniel Conn, Willis Meehan and the like. Crime gangs are difficult to leave completely. If it's a court then totally... 'innocent until proven guilty'. However, you choose your social circles. I reckon you'll find that various executives within our club don't do business with Rebels / Comancheros...etc.

If we want a back rower Dale Finucane is the man. Twice the player Pangai will ever be. A role model on and off the field. Would do us proud.
