There was an initiative that uncle nic and Brian Canavan thought up. That was to bring all rugby league clubs with the Roosters as their logo together and to celerbeate them. I was flown down with my wife to represent my club. Nerang Roosters. I coached Reece. And yes he has talent.
the drongos grab anyone half good and give them $5k a pair of footy boots and shit drongos cloths/ uniforms. They had their hooks in Keebra state school and they grabbed everyone including Reece. payne hass also did some time with us. Also byron parnell. Jaxson poulo and others

I hope the kid has a blinder. Qld have a chance if they hold the middle and kick well. Their halves are as good as NSW, and their forward pack is as well. Their centres will need support, but Mitchell's big head will help them, and To'o should be bombed all night. They need to hold the ball. I want Qld to win, if they can stop Cleary they have a chance.

Nice place Nerang as I have ridden past there a few times...And Keebra Pk has had a lot of NRL players come through there but the only Roosters are Sam Moa and Issac Liu as far as I know. In a way I am pissed off that Reece has taken the limelight of Sam W BUT maybe we could repay the Warriors in a few years and steal him from them much like they did to us with RTS...

Other clubs do it though, right?

For example I've seen the Bunnies logo/colours at Bargo and the same with the North Canberra Bears. I think teams like to use professional logos/colours so that they look the part?

You get other clubs like the Wyong Roos that prefer having their thing and get all mad when bigger/better clubs try to reach out like that. However, each to their own.

Currently the Titans under the new planning of ex Rooster Justin Holebrook has deciced to throw money and development at our big three rugby league schools. So now they have established pathways for the unancoming stars. They now have Keebra, palm beach high and Marsden park and the drongos can have the 20 odd schools in their region

Do they dip into the northern rivers talent pool at all? Is there any of those teams that play in a QLD division? Or is the border a strict cutoff?

I know Ryan James came from the Bilambil Jets FC in my area.

In both the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley cups this year the teams were called Northern River Titans - The North Coast sides were North Coast Bulldogs - from what i could gather from the messaging during games Northern Rivers is Gold Coast Titans area and North Coast is Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs area.

Something along the NRL clubs taking on a region was mentioned also - Chooks have the Central Coast - Wests Tigers - Group 6 although they are not happy along with Campbelltown/Macarthur junior clubs with the lack of interests of both Wests Tigers and Wests in the area - article below

                      http://the81stminute.com/2019/10/wes...ival-district/

My old Junior Club particularly - have over 470 juniors now from under 6's to under 18's with multiple sides in most age groups plus 3 grade sides(100 or so players) - under 23 and A grade in the Macarthur Wests Tigers comps and Sydney Shield.

The Chooks were very close to coming out to Campbelltown in the early /mid 1980's after Campbelltown missed out on admittance to the NSWRL comp ( Illawarra and Canberra got the nod ) and Newtown folded as it was to be the Campbelltown Newtown Jets - The Marsden Brothers ( John and Jim ) approached Ron Jones.

It was looking like it would go ahead until Athurson/Parker/ Moore/Fitzgerald vetoed it by backing Wests to come out here as Wests were on the verge of being punted from the comp in 1985.

                      Chooks should revisit it

No in the juniors. They play dmc, dlc and under twenties at Bilambil and Tweed seagulls. Just over the border. The Balimbil jets and seagulls play the northern rivers comp which is from tugan. To mullumbimbi. Then the seniors play in the gold coast comp.
