  • Roosters vs Storm game moved- Baffling Decision by the Roosters

Roosters will now play the Storm in Newcastle

This is a Roosters decision not an NRL one

"The people of the Hunter region love rugby league so it was an easy call to take our round-16 home game to Newcastle," Roosters coach Trent Robinson said.

    They can't play at Gosford?

The Storm confirmed on Thursday that Ryan Papenhuyzen will use the clash with the Roosters as his return match.

I imagine we were unable to book the Central Coast due to the Warriors game being their on Friday night.

It’d be a compromise. People on the central coast commute to Sydney every day just like they do from Macarthur. Whereas very few would travel from the Hunter.

With the Storm based in Qld and the Qld Premier shitscared her policies won’t hold back the germ, it’s borders shut with Sydney.
      ..it’ll be interesting to see

          Papi?
We need to play sharktooth defensive pattern.
When he makes a break past the front teeth defenders, the back teeth defence smashes him.
Smash him a few times and he won't be running anywhere at pace.

            Doesn't baffle me.
Sydney, especially the eastern suburbs, is awash with Delta 2 Covid strain, caught by seconds in the presence of the air that an infected person has breathed out.
Best to get the game as far away from Sydney as possible.
We can thank all the no-ideas, including politicians...who refuse to social distance, refuse to wear masks, refuse to isolate, party like there's no tomorrow, and hug and kiss 'everyone' like it's 1964.
Elbow bumping is not 1.5m social distancing.
1.5m is basically the width of a queen size mattress.
Now look what's happened as a result.

Agreed mate... we're lucky that there's a game of footy to watch.

Another thing that seems to be creeping in is people seeing a vaccine as 'invincibility mode'. I know lotsa people in the UK and USA who only care about getting a shot now... no other measures matter to them.

Seeing stoopid kids 'vaping' makes me realise how far our breath travels. Sigh...

Gosford is still regarded as part of greater Sydney, hence why the game wasn't transferred there.

Yeah, we’re only greater Sydney when it suits

Will the 3 games at Penrith/Parramatta and Leichhardt be played this weekend - all in the zone -some players may also reside in designated hot spot areas?

What happens if any of these games are postponed and are not able to be played as there is no gap in the draw to play them and the NRL decides to give each team 1 point each?

This site would blow up if the above occurred one would say.

The Storm where flying in and out last season when there was even more restrictions in place.

Horrible ground that McDonald Jones Stadium - Chooks complained about the state of the ground the last time they played there as a result of the 2 season ending injuries to Collins and B Morris.

There are no games this weekend.

                            Cept for origin.

I don’t care what the other teams do. No Easts No interest.

No other team has suffered serious knee injuries at MJS so stop making excuses. Newcastle without their dumbarse fans and their Bogan corporates isn’t a bad ground at all.
