Here's my take.
1. Teddy - tried too hard. Buzzing in the first half but became uninspired and frustrated with the teams collective performance around him.
2. Sualii - bright future, but shows lack of match experience..it will come. I really enjoy watching him play. Great future.
3. JMoz - off night, but still a solid defensive center. Attacking wise, he is off the pace against the top sides.
4. Manu - we all expect better from him. He is no longer the #1 center in the game. That goes to Olam. too inconsistent in my opinion.
5. Toops - tried hard, always does. One of our positives.
6. Walker - tried too hard but not his night. Plenty for him to takeaway and learn from last night. He will be better for it. Defensively still a concern.
7. Lam - Needs to be dropped. Offers nothing in attack. Weak defensively. I think he played his last game for the tricolors
8. JWH - He is taking up the workload for an out of form SST
9. Verills - supposed to be 'the artist'. Was a 5/10 last night and we need him to be a consistent 7-8/10 each week.
10. SST - completely out of form. Needs a kick up the backside. His running meters are decent but he's not a bully. Doesn't bend the line at all in attack. No quick play the balls.
11. Gus - tried hard but our whole pack was dominated. Good running battle with kafusi. We miss radley
12. Sitili - good first half but dropped ball on half time summed up our poor half overall. Ran for 27m which is completely ridiculous for a player of his potential.
13. Liu - might be time to send him off to titans if rumours are true...wondering if he did reveal he is leaving on match day to the boys. That would really p1ss me off!
E Butcher - plenty of upside
Fifita - cheap shot merchant. Needs to be dropped to the bears
Baker - good young player. Not sure why he doesn't get more minutes.
Hutchison - good to see him back. Not sure he is what we need but he's a tough player just to be back on the field he should be commended.

It’s July 1 and Isaac has moved on and perhaps more to come. That wouldn’t be good for overall team morale
It's Jack Gibson's: "If you can't tackle don't bother ringing up" pro footy league!

Lets face it- the teams above us have a lot better rosters.....and maybe even a couple of teams below us.
Im disappointed in the way we lost tonight but i cant say i was totally shocked.
We live to fight another day
We can still win the comp this year...it is possible.
Unlikely, but still possible.
The GF is not until Oct.
Steven Bradbury made the final, and won a gold medal at the Olympics.Last edited by bondi.boy; 07-02-2021, 11:46 AM.

ask yourself BB honesty can you win the comp with the halves we have available.
Not to mention our weakend forward pack and both captains

I agree with plenty you say except this...Had we had ALL 30 players available, overall we have the best rosters including some from Norths for emergencies. However we have to expect some injuries BUT not 5 season ending injuries, 3 being forced retirements.
Even with a valuable player like Keary out for a season, a good club like ours can still be competitive but this is where Robbo and co have dropped the ball. We went in with an average half who's playing 5/8 and is probably the worst 5/8 after Milford. Robbo said before the start of the season 'Lachie will get first go' or something to that extent. TBH, that didn't give me too much confidence. A coach should express confidence in making an announcement of a player especially at the start of the season. Then if that wasn't going to work, he would give Walker a go. Walker is great. He has skills that Cooper Cronk never had but is as courageous as Cooper. He's just not ready for the brutality at this level BUT he will be.
So we go into the season with practically one fully competitive half ( who eventually gets a season ending injury) and we don't have a great kicker either. This is the Maloney saga x 2 all over again.
We will win some games and we will remain in the 8 but Robbo has to make some player changes by having 2 halves that want to create and attack, that means getting rid of Lam and having Walker and Manu and then Hutch or Keighran to cover. We also would need for Robbo to start winning the games with tactics to upset the opposition. What I'm seeing at the moment are same old same old tactics that good teams just love to take advantage of. We have seen this before where Robbo is too slow to pull the trigger when needed.
Can we win the comp? Unless we do a Steven Bradbury and every other team just slips, then we can't BUT the comp doesn't end until we are completely out of it.
