    Or

Would you say look we are not going to win these games but lets not really embarrass ourselves or get injured or sent off etc and save ourselves for games we can win.

I don't think the Chooks can beat any of the current top 4 and maybe are saving themselves for games they can win.

It sure seemed that way tonight as Robbo was going off in the box or the players talking much or looking perturbed during the game at game end.

Why use up your capital for games you wont win and save it for games you can
    probably not Robbo's approach...

I would love it if you were right and I am wrong. I know how important Victor is to us and it's more in attack than defence to be honest - but I don't think he is that player that can turn the last two games into wins. He is very good he is not that good.

Seriously we are 84 nil in the last 140 minutes of footy - quiet frankly on recent form we are the worst side in tbe comp - by far. How many games have we won against top four opposition in tbe last year or two - against top 8 this year?

Happy to be wrong Dice but I can't see it.

Without Radley there is no width to our attack and our forwards are easy pickings to be gang tackled. Agree with Salvo that 5 hit ups and a kick isn't cutting the mustard. The Storm spread the ball to stretch the defence and then come back to the middle.
We have a lot of young fellows who are learning that first grade is hard as it should be and they are learning valuable lessons.
I just think with our injuries and losing our tough leaders it gets a bit much against the top sides and we tend to fall apart just from watching Robbo from afar I can't believe he wouldn't ever not think we aren't a chance to win though.

IMO you go in trying to win every game, regardless of the odds. That's your job as a professional team.

You mean your opinion of what a professional team should do? There are have been many occasions in professional sports where a team doesn't care about winning just as long as they get the right outcome...Even in RL a few weeks ago when Penrith went into a game without their stars, when they could have played, but Cleary Snr chose to rest his stars and give his reserves a go...They wanted an outcome of resting their players, more than getting the 2 points.

It only makes sense to REST players who will BENEFIT from a rest.

It was cold, wet, dark, and past "everyone's" bedtime...but unfortunately that's pro footy 2021 style.
Why play your best in every game?
Why try to win every game?
                  Because:
. Fans expect it, and are entitled to.
. That's what fans pay their money to see.
. That's what you're being paid to do.
                  . Sponsors expect it.
                  . Pride is power.

At least until the game is 'gone', and winning is impossible.

But if it's going to be otherwise, and we're going to 'forfeit' games before they're even played, then send the fans and sponsors a secret code so they'll know not to attend or watch on tv.
