If your spending 4.8 on 6 players that leaves 4.3 or so for the other 24 players - the cap is 9.1 mill for 2022. So i kind of believe reports that the Chooks won't have much wriggle room in the cap even with the retirements to add quality to the squad.

Have to go with what they have and fast track development of the fringe players and other earmarked youngsters to be NRL Standard players

A couple of years ago Buzz listed the Roosters best 17 players salaries and we were supposedly a couple million over the cap on his figures. This is the same mob that printed the latest figures.
Note the difference of what they guessed back then to the 6 players listed below.



Opposition supporters would have just looked at the image showing the players salaries and immediately believed what was listed without reading the other points Buzz made about players accepting unders to play with us.

Also note that salaries of Cordner and Rads (which would have gone up - say $700K as a conservative guess). Include just these two to the latest figures and you now have 8 players taking up nearly 70% of our cap this year. That's 30% left for 22 players including Friend, Jmoz, Bmoz, Toups, Collins, Sitili, Butcher, Verrills. Did I miss anyone?

Also go back and listen to the Schubert interview on Roosters Radio where he says some of the figures of players salaries printed in the media are so off the mark. I'd rather believe him who has actually seen players contracts.

In 2019 they guess SST to be on $275K and this year they say $655K.
It is all guess work to satisfy what information they want the sheep to believe.

I don't know about anybody else, but it makes me feel a little bit sick to the stomach hearing about Liu going to the titans, Toops to the groncos, and SST to who knows where, and this on top of the three retirements.

I agree with you about Liu,he was great for us,but lately has done very little to warrant a new contract on the other hand Toops has been our best player this year including in the whitewash against the Storm and it would be a pity to lose him. I honestly don't believe he will leave or the club is stupid enough to let him go

So you would judge player’s contract on a game to game basis? So how much was Teddy worth over the last last 3-4 years? According to your assessment he’d be around $1.6mill LOL. Your posts are always good for a laugh BB, and I love your passion.
Back to Toops leaving, when and where was it announced that he was leaving? From memory it was just a casual comment made on one of those online forums by some unknown writer and all of a sudden we’re certain that he’s leaving? Seriously?
